its been 84 years....and AKB48 FINALLY lost their no.1 spot but it took heaven and hell to make it happen so in other words i no doubt expect them be back  next year though whatever Johnny's is doing with their boy groups is working since I don't remember the last time I saw not 1 but multiple boy groups pull over a million singles sold 

 

Also OMFG at Kenshi Yonezu's albums sales i knew dude was crazy popular with his singles but those are some serious legendary sales to be pulling those numbers in 2020, i was lowkey expecting Arashi to get the top spot this year or heck BTS considering its a matter of time at this rate

tho for the artist list, i agree with them. top 5-10 is good enough. anything more would be extra. most awards shows even in korea stay with in 10.

More info gives a better picture of the current state of the music industry like in Japan. 
Also if you check Oricon ranking there are other Oricon year end charts not mentioned in source OP
and some of the  charts alr posted in OP have a more comprehensive ver in the Oricon ranking (i.e shows Top 100 instead of Top10, etc).

"Combined" would prolly be a more accurate and consistent term for 合算 than "Cumulative", 
based on Arama Japan's translation of Oricon's introduction about said charts:

Most of the entries in the Top 10 DVD / Blu-Ray Chart also appear in Top 20 DVD Chart 
so it was easier to get the translation for the Japanese titles/names  this time.

This year, oricon only shows the number of sales for the top 10 combined single year-end chart, top 10 digital single chart and the top 25 album year-end chart.

 

Last year, they even showed the number of sales for the top 50 combined single year-end chart (Link 1, Link 2), top 50 digital single year-end chart (Link 1, Link 2), and the top 50 album year-end chart (Link 1, Link 2)

I wonder why oricon reduces the display of amount of sales for the year-end chart this year.
