With All These Idols Making News With Drug Scandals, What Is The Korean Government Trying To Hide

First things first, I'm not defending anyone's misuse of drugs.

It's a common fact that when there is suddenly a out pouring of news involving idols and drug usage the Korean government is trying to deflect attention away from themselves. What's happening now?

It's not a common fact. That's something that delusional kpop fans came up with to shield their faves.

Do you really believe that all of South Korea cares that much about kpop where a random idol getting caught smoking weed is gonna distract the whole country from what is going on in the government? Does scandals involving celebrities in other countries take a way from other news? Fans are the only people that care about kpop scandals, and implying that the general public of SK is that stupid to easily be distracted by someone smoking weed has to be the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard.

Shield them how? The government can look the other way when someone is committing a crime, but then come calling when they're in trouble. I'm not saying that the idol hasn't been committing the crime. When the news comes to light is the only suspicious thing.

And no it might not distract the country, but it would take top spot in internet searches burying other news.

The bigger issue is Korea has a huge problem with drug import. Like how a country where it's forbidden to smoke a cigarette in certains streets or travel in the country with chocolate that has poppy seeds in the reciper, could find drugs so easily? And I'm not even talking about weed. The number of meth, cocaine, cases you can see in the news in Korea.

Idol scandals aren't that big enough to cover up what the government is doing. We don't see everything happening in Korea. It's just big to us because we are the ones to focus on the idols rather than what's happening in the country on a daily basis.

Right? This type of thing has been floating around for years and has been constantly debunked.
