Do you think Jaemin is a bit of an underrated dancer ?

This is a peculiar case as, at least in the places I frequent, I notice that people either put in the top 3 best dancers in Dream or call him stiff among other things and put him in the bottom. This topic is made futher complicated due to the fact that NCT Dream is a subunit known to house members with similar abilities in terms of their skills in dancing and singing compared to many other groups and Jisung, Jaemin, Renjun, Haechan, Jeno,[Mark] all get appreciation for their dancing and Renjun is usually the one that's called underrated, but I'm just confused as to why there seems to be a substantial fraction of people who see Jaemin as a bad dancer.

i don't think i've ever seen someone call him a BAD dancer per se, i think he just tends to get overshadowed when dancing alongside jisung, jeno, or even haechan (who has been praised for his efficiency and fluidity).  he's not noticeably stiff or worse off in any of the dream dance practices, at least imo

and he looks pretty good here

I actually think a lot of the dancers in Kpop are underrated. They're expected to be good at it so when they're good at it, it doesn't mean much.

i wouldn't call any of nct dream a bad dancer. they're all decent dancers. but yes jaemin, compared to the other members (except for maybe chenle) are obviously a little behind. you can see at times his moves are a bit stiff. but i wouldn't necessarily say he's the weakest. it's arguable between him and chenle imo

I think he on par with Haechan after Jisung and Jeno. I always notice Jaemin in dance practices, he stands out to me, not sure why. His moves have a certain flair, can't explain exactly. I didn't know people thought he was a weak dancer, so if that's the case then yes, he's underrated. To be fair, NCT Dream has overall really good dancers, so even a skilled dancer like Jaemin might get lost in the bunch. I personally think he's one of the better dancers of NCT as a whole.
