love-ya 33
i liked their song very much i don't why it was so underrated. It wasn't too noisy and had a nice unique rythme. i didn't even watch their show but heard bad things abt it so my expectations were very low. given and taken is my fav rookie song this year then stayc's so bad. Their roty is deserved. Edited December 12, 2020 by love-ya

Their roty is deserved. Because at the end even if people complain about "noisy music" and "dark badass concepts" it's what majority of kpop fans (especially international) like. Enhypen's song is good and well produced, but much more on the chill side and don't even have a beat drop or a rap section so maybe some people found it boring or something. Also, a lot of other rookie fandoms hate them for no reason. You only have to see how the OP literally got 3 clown emojis simply for posting about their ROTY award as if selling over 300k in a few days wasn't enough to get them an award. Their roty is deserved. I-land was a very exhausting show to watch tbh (I personally stopped after a few eps, only kept up with the performances). In the first half they pitted the trainees against each other constantly in a pretty unhealthy way, and editing was utterly biased (the boys they didn't want got zero screentime or were evil edited). But the talent was undeniable and the boys grew a lot during the course of the show, and the performances became more and more enjoyable as time went. Enhypen don't feel like rookies when they're on stage, because of all the experience they accumulated while filming. And when it comes to their music and concepts, it falls under BigHit's responsibility even if they're from a sublabel, so they got the polish of a BigHit group. Well, in Niki's case he got both a lot of screentime and was evil edited with the whole "voting out his best friend Taki" thing and eventually he made it to the final group, but he's more an exception.
