Did JYP really say that Cry For Me doesn't fit Twice's voice?

Is JYP on drugs?!!  This was the first time that I actually enjoyed...hell NOTICED the vocal performance in a Twice title track.  Usually their vocals are kind of an after thought or worse, but here you can tell they were in their bag by the way they were playing around with their tone and vibrato.

JYP needs to stop pushing the high pitch voices on them. I can tell that a lot of the times the girls are not comfortable with that and it puts them through unnecessary criticism. One of the critiques that the public and even my ignorant past self have brought up is that the Twice members don't have good or unique vocals, which is not true. If he just let them use their real voices and gave them songs that matched their range, they would stand out much more and the public would be able to appreciate their talent.

I agree with you. I'm really impressed with their vocal performance here. They sound great on I CANT STOP ME as well. If JYP really said that... I am not surprised. I have disagreed with him about singing a lot before. Even his signature style I don't like that much.

It's by Heize, JYP & some other guy.

Oh god JYP is on drugs. This reminds me (similar case) when Sunny(of SNSD) said SM told her that they found her natural proper singing voice/vocals to be boring and uninteresting, so they made her sing in high pitched cutesy voice instead.
