No one said anyone was complaining “about their faves”, it’s interesting how you interpreted it as that.

The user was talking about how there are certain fans who keep complaining on stuff that don’t even concern them nor brings harm to anyone. I would like to remind you that this thread is for the translated comments which are basically complaining.

Why can’t people be more civil and just let groups and artists get what they deserve without either directly saying hurtful words or passive aggressively make remarks that discredit said groups/artists efforts and hard work.

It doesn’t paint a sense of justice, what it paints are desperation and self-entitlement.

I agree, people should be allowed to share their opinions (whether they be positive or negative) - in a respectful manner. People should be allowed to respond to them too. It's a discussion. Majority of the people here on this thread are not being overly rude.  AAA has had mix reactions in previous years by OH users and Kpop fans in general too. It's nothing new. 

 

Anyways, Base on who all the Kpop community talked about the most this year, my picks:

• Song of the Year: OMG/IU/Red Velvet
• Album of the Year: BTS*
• Performance of the Year: Mr.Trot/Twice/NCT
• Stage of the Year: Twice/NCT/Gfriend
• Artist of the Year: BTS

(*best overall digitals, ULs, and streams for the entire album on k-charts and globally)

You can quote me with your opinion without trying to imply my opinion on Resonance to beggin with but hmmmm, anyways, wtv makes you happy.

AAA has some pretty weird awards and people will justify them because at least their faves are winning something, that's what I mean. And about the deserving part I don't even know why you are quoting me with that, it's not even worthy responding, if you are convinced of that i'm not the one who will be trying to tell you otherwise for pages.

I mean similar things happened in bigger awards like mama and mma and hashtags were trending how a said group only has the award because they attended or because the award show is scared of rabid fans

I mean the rule should be applied on all award shows 

I'm not saying that the winners don't deserve or something because aaa is just sponsors taking  an opportunity to make more money 

They don't care about artistry or whatever so I don't care who wins. I mean did u see the award names? Lol

Umm... How old do you think GOT7 is? Especially JJ Project who have to go to the military as well? 

Also, JB and Jinyoung have been performing since 2012, so I could careless if some people in the kpop world find this award not credible. It took them 7 years(2019) in the industry to even get this type of recognition and GOT7 as a group 5 years. For them to get something again this year in spite of JYPE handling them is nothing short of amazing. 

 

I also find GOT7 damn good performers, so why would it not be believable for them not win in this category? 

 

After today everything will go back to normal and GOT7 will get something from MAMA's next week from a category that Mnet made up and they will not win a major category as usual. All right will be in the Kpop world, right?

im sure this is about me so heres ur reaction

im not the one talking about the "relevance" of the award, all im saying is that resonance is a great and imo it deserves an aoty, since album of the year and for example performance award, stage award are things that IMO shouldnt be completely based on numbers bc.. it doesnt rly make sense does it? atleast in my opinion it doesnt. Does that mean i think that attendance had nothing to do with them winning? no. Does that mean i think NCT will win aoty in any other award show? prob not bc a lot of them r based on numbers and thats okay, but let nctzens be happy with this win for a great album. 

For awards like artist of the year and rookie of the year i do feel like numbers are more relevant. I also think its dumb af how weeekly did not win a ROTY

I'm intrigued about the criteria for this show because for example for AOTY is definitely not based on physical sales. It must be something like "quality" but that's pretty subjective because there's many quality albums. Another example is ROTY. They gave female ROTY to secret number when technically Weeekly has better sales and charting so the criteria seems not based on sales/charting indeed.

Anyway, congrats to the winners. Idk why people get so mad about award shows, especially if they don't use objective criteria like sales and charting.

 I was talking about the main categories (AOTY/SOTY). And I agree, the category they won is very subjective. I dont think it is weird they won that award.
