It's famous for being groundless, so you just have to enjoy it.

Even singers don't talk about aaa as a career.

AAA will never be taken serious by Koreans and the public as long as it keeps awarding like they do. Giving attendance awards and/or pity awards doesn't do any justice to idols receiving them. It's only makes them part of the joke. And they're aware. The big sponsors putting money in to AAA, is the only reason it's surviving.

Anyways, Congrats to all the winners!!!

Am I the only one who is glad it’s kinda like a free for all? I’m glad other artists get the chance to get awarded lol

If it wasn’t for AAA my faves would probably never get awards so I’m happy lmao

AAA is basically the award show equivalent of what The Show is for music shows..

It's not taken serious or very credible,

But at the same time I too am happy when my nugu (underrated) favs get a chance to win something.

It's just a show that gives out awards, i don't see the problem to reward people who come to perform only, nobody is going to brag about these awards anyway, it's like winning 1st on "the show". This makes some people happy and that's it.

Also - AAA can do whatever with all the different special awards, but I wish they would at least make the Daesangs more realistic - that would make the show a bit more credible - which would lead to more exposure for underrated/nugu artists performing and attending.

"nobody is going to brag about these awards"

but they would if the daesangs at least were realistic.

melon use to be one of the newer shows too, but in time it became one of the most respected awards show in korea and among artists.

I'm only pissed at the fact that AAA organizers don't do their research properly, other than that, I'm glad all groups got an award even with those hideous award (like wtf is best emotive award 💀)

That's not true. GOT7 were extremely happy when they won it last year and as a fan it makes me happy that someone recognizes them even when JYPE doesn't seem to know what to do them.

Exactly.

They're always acting like they're gonna die if their faves don't win all the awards in the world.

Bts should have won Artist of the year instead of song of the year, because Dynamite was trash, but they've been so successful this year that they deserve that recognition. Album of the year to NCT... I mean, uh.

Awards serve to reward the artists for what they have done throughout the year so if winning someting makes them more motivated and happy, then I guess it's fine even when the awards have weird names and some winners are questionable.

Every year we have people talk about how shows like AAA shouldn't be taken seriously because of the awards they give. But then they get mad or passive aggressive because their faves didn't win. It's the never ending cycle of award season really

You can choose to be honest or to be nice.

Some are more realistic and have higher expectations of award show, others are just happy their idols won something.

2-3 years ago everyone would criticize the practice of giving away awads for attendance, now everyone is so used to it that it's not a problem anymore, and honestly that shows the standard to which these award shows are held.

The “album of the year” is not necessarily the album that sold the most copies. It’s also about quality... have you listened to Resonance? It’s a really great album.
