Which version do you like More?

For you who love reading and from non-English speaking country, do you like the English version of a book (which usually the original version) or you prefer to read it after it's published in your native language version?

 

Somehow I enjoy reading the English version more. even for books that originally in other language (Japanese, Chinese, Turkish), English is still my preferable reading language.

I'm not good enough to read books in other languages so English by default. Though if my language skills were up to par, I would want to read the original language.

i prefer read in the original version (english/spanish/dutch for short stories) but if it's a language i don't speak,why i'd bother to read the translation in english if there one in french (my native language) ?

I usually read my native language version, but sometimes i also read the english one. My english is not that good so i've always prepare google translate/dictionary with me though

And english literature in english

I love reading in the original language sadly my language skills are bad.

I always prefer to read a book in the language it was written in, and if the original language of a book is for example German, I'll try to get the German copy instead of the translation to my native language. Same with English and Spanish. But since I don't speak other languages, unfortunately I have to resort to translations in Greek too.

I prefer reading a book in its original language but if I can't, I'd read it in English.
