I couldn’t get into Tharntype due to the first episode for some of the stuff it romanticized and showed. It’s nice to see less shows going that route though.

Exactly. I don't even see ITSAY as a typical BL because the relationship between the two boys is just another element of the story but it's not 100% focused on that but in other stuff like studies, being uncertain about your future, the relationship with the family and the friends, etc and it's all incredibly well developed.

Tharntype is a damn mess. Idk how that series became SO popular when it literally has all the toxic bl tropes like: non-consent stuff, the homophobic character that later falls for a guy but he's still toxic with every other lgtb+ person, jealousy, posessiveness, etc. I like MewGulf but that series is horrible tbh. At least these Korean BLs portray much more healthy relationships and the development don't feel awkward or rushed.

That's the filipino bl, right? I've seen lots of people saying it's the best bl this year along with ITSAY and Cherry Magic and it seems to have that nostalgic vibe and aesthetic like ITSAY so I planned to watch it.

Yes it is. It's a really great show and my top bl of the year. I have rewatched it way too much lol.

Also if you need something more on the fluffy side to watch then History 3 Trapped is a good one. Its Crime/action/thriller romance. Detective and Mob Boss love story.

Omg I actually love that one. It's my favorite by far from the History series along with Crossing the line.

I don't know, I just can't get into BL shows because I keep imagining how the actors probably feel disgusted and bothered by taking such roles lol. After all, BL movies is just another way to get recognition, and some people will do anything for recognition. But that's a ME problem honestly.

That's actually the issue with some thai bl actors, but so far the idols/actors involved in these Korean bls don't seem to have any problem filming those scenes plus we don't even know their sexuality. Some of them could be part of the lgtb+ community themselves so...

Thai BL is usually on youtube (ITSAY is in dailymotion tho) and for Korean/Taiwanese/Japanese BL I usually watch it in Viki.
