They have a symbiotic relationship where the monkeys pluck and throw down fresh green leaves for deers to munch on. The deer are the warning system of the jungle. Among others like jungle fowls, peacocks and monkeys themselves, the deer give out a warning call whenever a predator like a tiger or a leopard is nearby [Documented in Pench Tiger Reserve, India by @ishallphotograph]. Found this pic today, and it's really adorable. Looks like a family photo. Bonus: "The little monkey tried to climb on the deer fawn’s back. But the monkey mama didn’t allow it."
