The rep curtly stated, “After confirming with the individual, we’ve learned it’s true that they broke up recently.” Meanwhile, Jihyo and Kang Daniel first met in 2018 after being introduced to each other by an acquaintance. The same people who find out celebrities are dating also find out they've broken up. It's probably for the best though, as it would be rather awkward if they get caught dating a second time and everyone still thinks they're with the previous person. They only gain haters and nobody wants that. - Jihyo and Daniel didn't choose to make their relationship public, they were outed by Dispatch (Korean tabloid that also revealed their breakup). After being outed they never even mentioned each other interviews and when asked about their relationship said journalists it wasn't their business. - They were outed specifically as part of a smear campaign orchestrated by Daniel's former agency, who were trying to ruin his career after losing to him in court.
