Honestly it's pretty shameful how blatant a lot of these are. The logo design is nearly a carbon copy. The gingham dresses aren't very suspicious until you realize the wiggly trim is identical and so is the color palette... So little effort in investing any creative energy into their replicas.

edit: Apparently the logo design was used with permission, there was just a dispute with the artist over the licensing initially. But it was resolved and SM has full legal permission to use the logo.

I see, I guess the situation was that the work was licensed by another company and the artist either wasn't aware of it and/or SM didn't initially get the full licensing process completed
