icesica 7,387
But the title track is the most important song, not b-sides. It gets the MV, the live stages, and becomes the main brand identifier of the group.

Why Not isn't even bad, it's super catchy and cleverly produced if you give it more than one listen, but it seems that non-orbits are jumping at any chance to undermine Loona's discography for some reason and coming up with mundane excuses about them losing their sound. Loona didn't even had a specific sound or music genre anyway, no one of the predebut title tracks sounded similar, they did jazz, dance pop, euro pop, synth pop, bubble gum pop, rnb, pop ballads, soultronica, classical ballad, edm... deobizone 7,779
Their last 2 titles are or..can be acquired tastes so yea. Ngl i like them both immediately. Its just most ppl arent going to vs the sound they have which is easily likable that most their pre debut songs and hi high, butterfly have. Ngl im not even loona stan but used to be and still am like getting annoyed at ppl trashing their music ir well just last 2 titles esp. For one bc i like them esp i really love So What. But also bc i just dunno how to desc but it feels.. fake to me i dunno. Like i rmr when i was a fan oec akgae were a problem and i hate how ppl just act like oec is their peak and they need to go back to that. Its also overstated. Just imo but most their music is just as gr8. And i don't think most ppl who bitch ab their music going downhill even care that much but are just saying it to shit on loona
Corysilk 16
The instrumental sounds generic but the vocals and vocal cadence is really nice.
Green Tea Is Green 4,218
They didn't ''lose their sound'' (they never had a specific sound tbh) they just lost their quality title tracks, the bsides still slap

So What and Why Not aren't a downgrade, in fact many Orbits think that Why Not is their best title.

Butterfly is an orbit favorite, Hi High did have split opinions but mostly because of the badwagon stans, they couldn't accept a ''cute'' concept for their grand debut, all the older orbits I know (including me) dislike or at the very least think So What and Why Not are a.... downgrade compared to both their previous group titles and solo/unit titles, its just the newer fans who think those 2 songs are their best/good enough for loona from what I've seen lol Why Not is surely an upgrade from So What tho... smrookies girls 1,085
As an orbit, it's been a while since I last liked a Loona title track. The last one I liked was Hi High. The reason to that is that I like cute concepts and back then, when the only member revealed was Heejin, I had no idea that Loona would take this direction. If I knew, I would've probably got less invested in this group as I'm currently more stanning for the girls than the music... Anyways. Universe is my favorite song of the album. Even though I disliked their 3 last title tracks, they still had some great bsides. A lot of them were a "meh" for me but some of them (like Satellite, Colors, Ding ding dong and Universe) are god tier. Their aesthetic still is incredible, all of their MVs look good and original and it is refreshing. For me that's the Loona print Edited November 4, 2020 by smrookies girls
Usagi. 13,668
They clearly changed after So What, since Why Not is similar to it as in genre. If it was for better or worse it will depend on your own taste. I absolutely hate their last two title tracks but while I can listen to Why Not till the end I think I never finished So What... This album was my least favorite from them, didn't really love any song. XX remains my fave.
rosiecon 246
I've never liked any Loona song except for their current one... its the only one i replayed and actually tried learning the members names this time. Must be in the minority.
Midnight~Circus 1,093
I've been following LOONA since pre-debut and I also have to be honest and admit that their 'post debut' discography hasn't been doing it for me save their newest album. This has nothing to do with LOONA 'losing their sound' but rather their previous three title tracks and b-sides didn't grab me, 'Oh (Yes I Am)' is the exception, the way their solo and subunit songs did which is fine. You win some, you lose some. I guess I'm in the minority because I think 'Why Not' is a very catchy song and it's my obvious favorite title track from the group to date. I enjoyed their new mini album, which I wasn't expecting, and I'm looking forward to their next release in 2021.

lighterxx 12,204
I like their new LSM songs more than hi high and butterfly tbh, those were very high pitched for me. Their songs now... Is not the best they can do, but I think out of title songs post debut, their most recent CB title is best
