When the oldest member isn't the Leader, do you think they feel some type of way?

Of course not everyone wants that kind of responsibility, but with Korea's emphasis on age seniority wouldn't some of the older members give their younger leader the side eye for giving them orders or chewing them out?

I know in my head I would be saying "lil bich I know you betta get outta my FACE!"

TWICE voted for Jihyo as their leader. Jeongyeon got the 2nd highest vote; neither of them are the oldest.

I don't think Nayeon feels bad or anything about it.

Jihyo did say if she was gone either Nayeon or Jeongyeon would be a great leader.

for starters, a "good" leader do not give orders

they have open communication and discussions. they give advice and suggestions.

TOP is the oldest in BigBang and he wouldn't be a good leader like GD is for them. During their MADE docu, GD was able to help the group with direction for their tour. During their scandals like TOP's weed scandal and his own, he was able to take responsibility for that. TOP wouldn't have done that since he's the way he is.

Everything I wanted to say about TOP would have been misconstrued since you really have to stan him to understand what I would have said. 🤣

But...yeah the way he is...would not work well...if he was the leader...I think all of them know that.

CL was the Leader even though she was the second youngest, it didn't seem to bother Bom and Dara. I think it has to do with responsibility more than anything else, with some groups I've notice that the leader isn't always the spokesperson for the group but instead takes care of the groups image

i think it really depends on their personality since many "leaders" in groups don't really stand out or do much leading regardless of how they old they are.

In my bias's case one of the major reasons why Eunbi was chosen as the leader was because of her age but she has done an amazing job and i'll never forget how quick the girls were to hand her their MAMA award and let her do most of the talking

Probably sometimes.

I think it’s weirder when a foreign member is the leader. Like if they have only been in Korea a few years or still lacking in their Korean? Maybe I’m being a dumbass but it seems a native or someone who has integrated really well would be more suitable.

This topic reminded me about the leadership changes in CLC (from Seunghee, who is the oldest member, to Seungyeon). In saying that, I honestly don't sense any sense of rivalry between the two, but rather a collaboration of sorts.

Yeah, they're both seen as the leaders or the parents of CLC, iirc Seunghee was the one who stepped down from the position because it was too stressful for her. Although Yujin is the 2nd oldest, but Seungyeon was a better fit. Yujin and Seungyeon are besties so I don't think she feels bad about Seungyeon being the leader.

a good leader is not the one that gives orders, but the one who cares and tries to improve their members. So no i think age has nothing to do with this, what is important is care you have and effort you are willing to spend, so I doubt there is anydisagreement about age, maybe for other things, but definitely not age
