Reuniting? When was this?

A couple years ago, for some SM concerts. It was their final performances together.

it's not about these c-idols setting foot in korea again.

that's why i said "indirectly" ... it's beneficial to the group and company with cfan/china support.

I'm not convinced Chinese fans are supporting these groups just because they have former Chinese members.

that's fine, you don't have to be convinced.

my point still remain tho - support comes in all forms and sizes. and there are some cfans supporting these korean groups and companies due to these c-idols.

You'll know which Chinese idols voluntarily support the anniversary of China's involvement of the Korean war,
if the posts are written in their own words and not an exact copy of their fellow idols' posts.

This is when they didn't perform with Victoria and that was one year ago.

Ah, this....

Alright back to the post. (Where are the user I quoted earlier) Assuming the relationships are good at that moment between china-japan and china-korea, so she wouldn't get trouble performing, she was and is always have some schedules. As for your assumption that she was "kicked out," as of September 2019, (unfortunately) the company said she was still under SM.

Pretty sure there was a presidential speech about the issue and after that a bunch of celebrities started posting about it. And yeah, I doubt any of these idols will ever promote in Korea again, the WJSN members are the only ones I follow and they're not coming back... It sucks, as much as I've been a fan of theirs for a long time, this is not something I look at lightly. Will we ever know if they're doing it for publicity only or because they truly believe in it? No, but it still leaves a bitter taste in my mouth as a fan to witness it. 😕

Among all relevant posts, the one revealing some of Chinese K-Pop idols have also endorsed China's historical negationism claiming China has fought with Korea against the U.S during the Korean War has gained the most attention.

tbh revisionism is a real thing and if the CCP put out this false narrative in their country's history textbooks then it's no wonder why these idols are also falsely believing in it, because it's what they were taught in school. Every country participates in revisionism--like in U.S. history textbooks, they make it seem like the US is a white knight/hero/savior when the real history is sooooo much different than that.

I am a little confused at this though. I understand misinformation and re-writing of history is par for the course for the CCP and I know simple things like even Wikipedia are banned via the Great Firewall (though I ALSO know having had Chinese National friends who were Intl. Students that almost every educated young person uses VPN to bypass that) but are they seriously taught that Chinese fought with the SOUTH Koreans against the US in the Korean War? Isn't it common knowledge even in China that they were allies of the Kim Il-Sung and the North?

I though the BTS thing was petty nationalism since China was never mentioned in any way (and why would they be -  China was N.Korea's main ally agains the South and if N.Korea has won all of Korea would be a one-party Juche dictatorship today, so why would they be mentioned in an award celebrating Kor-US ties?), but I find it hard to believe that these Kpop idols  like Lay, Victoria, Pinky, who have spent a lot of time away with from Mainland China and lived in S.Korea for YEARS don't know who the respective parties in the Korean War were. This almost seems purposely insulting to people they were friends with, worked with, etc.
