GOT7‘s Youngjae was recently accused of beating up a disabled student in high school, and shortly afterward, JYP Entertainment stated that although there was an altercation between the two, the rest of the claims made by the accuser are false and that they will continue to investigate the matter.

 

But upon the discovery of the accuser’s last and now-deleted post, netizens are led to believe that the accuser is not credible.

According to the online community, the accuser recently shared a photo of a JYP Entertainment business card and claimed that they visited the headquarters of JYP Entertainment and told the truth in a meeting room.

 

They also promised to investigate, gather evidence, and find out the truth and apologized for having insufficient evidence.

But the now-deleted post has netizens questioning why the accuser would post proof that they visited JYP Entertainment while failing to share proof that they are disabled and that they attended the same school as Youngjae at the same time.

JYP Entertainment is still investigating the matter, but until then, netizens are unsure if the accusations have enough credibility to be taken so seriously by the agency, which could unfairly hurt Youngjae’s career if the accusations turn out to be false.

JYP Entertainment has released a statement to address school bullying accusations made against GOT7’s Youngjae.

 

On October 20, someone posted on an online community and claimed that they had been a victim of school violence perpetrated by Youngjae. The author of the post stated that they attended Mokpo Technical High School with Youngjae and added that they had intellectual disability and hearing loss. According to the author, Youngjae had taken taken money and valuables from them and hit them for no reason.

 

A day after the post was uploaded, JYP Entertainment released a statement. Read it below:

 

"Regarding the controversy surrounding JYP Entertainment artist Youngjae, we have confirmed with Youngjae that he and his classmate once had a quarrel that led to a physical fight and that they were unable to reconcile afterwards and stayed on bad terms. He told us that all other claims made by the post’s author are false.

 

The author of the post stated that they had sent their assertions to the agency via email, but we have not yet received any email or other form of contact from them.

 

We have reached out to the author to verify the exact details of the truth, but we have not been able to receive a response yet.

 

Therefore, we will take action based on principle by verifying the truth more precisely and preparing appropriate measures accordingly."

The person Youngjae fought with is the one who wrote the post ---- don't know

Youngjae transferred to Seoul in his 1st year in October and debuted in his 3rd year ---- true

Youngjae tormented that person during his 2nd~3rd year ---- impossible

I hate using Koreaboo as a source given their credibility and their history. But, this along with theQoo post is the only thing I've seen that has given an update about this since JYP's statement. 

 

Still a lot of questions floating around about the situation. But for now, many seem to agree that this whole thing is odd.

Plus, SBS did that article before JYPE's statement that debunked the timeline. It's just so weird.

 

I really wish in general JYPE would get their shit together when handling PR because statements like that aren't reassuring or even remotely helpful >.<

I agree with knetz about JYP tho, while they took an action, it would be far better to write we are carefully looking into it than to write very ambiguous statements. It made dude look guilty even when he was not

Well the assumption is that the OP is suppose to be the other person involved in this mess. But its still weird because their statements about meeting JYPE are pretty contradicting. They went from having proof to bring to JYPE to needing to find proof or the truth. Plus tben disappearing and deleting everything seems odd.

 

But yeah JYPE's vague statement didnt help much. Hopefully there will be something that gives us a clearer picture soon.

This reminds me a previous scandal? I don't remember whose was it but I remember author heard it from her friend, wrote about it but it was actually her friend lying and when she thought she has.evidence she actually had none.

Could it be a similar situation? I swear I read this, I don't remember where tho...

Tbh, there was a point where I wondered if this person was a 3rd party since the time frame is still odd and that they needed to find more evidence.  I wouldnt completely rule it out.
