(Appreciation) Idols born to NOT be idols?

Inspired by PurpleAnii's thread.
This thread is for the idols that somehow ended up good idols despite seeming like it would be the last thing they'd become.

My top pick would be former AKB48 member Paruru who showed that you could become a top idol despite not having any social or performance skills. As it turned out giving poor or non-existent fan service is one way to get popular as long as you're cute.

To  lesser extent:

- Krystal from f(x) was practically forced into becoming an idol and didn't seem to love the idea but her attitude became a big part of her popularity

Jeonghan

He was recruited to be actor by another company. He got too excited in that one, so he did better with Pledis. (Frankly he didn't want to be an actor too lmao)

He mentioned he didn't liked idol training etc at predebut, but understood why people work so hard to be an Idol when he was finally on stage, Infront of his fans. I guess, svt in general get drunk from stage. He likes it now lol

taeil from nct?

he had gotten accepted into a super competitive applied music program at hanyang university (which is also a uni that requires really good grades in all subjects) and was torn between going through as a student or join SM as a trainee...obviously we know what he chose

he also isn't a typical idol vocalist i'd say, even though SM has plenty of talented male vocalists--his preferred musical style never struck me as "idol-ish"

but i'm so glad he's in NCT 💚

Minho, he wanted to play soccer, and frankly he is a pretty good athlete. He still loves sports to death but, now SHINee has the world’s most perfect man within the group 🤩

Also VIXX’s Leo, who was not sociable whatsoever in the beginning, but it actually became a charming point that helped make him the most popular member. He is a lot more outspoken and social now too.

Definitely Kyungsoo. He hates idol life so much 💀 even when he is such a good vocalist but he prefers acting

Suga didn't have being an idol in mind either but it turned awesome as we know.

Also I think that Jisoo didn't have idol life in mind but she ended in BP.

And Solar became a trainee at 20 years old and it wasn't one of her future plans at first.
