My mom and I were just talking about Van Halen a couple of weeks ago. It's one of the bands we bond over. She was so sad hearing about his death. She found out at work (she works at a school).

I don't think she was. I never imagined her to be a Van Halen fan but she surprises me all the time with the songs and bands she enjoys.
