Northern Hemisphere Users: How are you preparing for Autumn/Winter?

Is there anything special you do to get you hyped for Autumn and Winter? Or is there are certain things you get to help you through the short days and cold months to come?

I usually buy candles but I got to burn through the ones I already have before I buy more. In the fall there's a list of shows and movies I watch (ie: Over the Garden Wall and Coraline). I like to buy seasonal flavored snacks too! Baking is another thing, but I've been doing that since the start of Covid so that's not very special anymore.

What do you guys do?

i break out my more seasonal clothes and usually buy a candle or air freshener to make my space smell more like what i associate autumn with

i’m not one for christmas decorations even though i celebrate, so most of my winter preparation is done through making myself and my apartment warm and comfortable

It snowed yesterday, so naturally we found out that our furnace died (it was somewhere between 25 and 36 years old; it was replaced today). So I pulled out some long pants, a long-sleeved shirt, and a sweater vest for today's outfit. It'll be close to 90° F on Saturday, so I'm back to a t-shirt. I've been working from home and will probably do so for quite a while, so I haven't been wearing structured clothing because comfort. I brought my giant bottle of ibuprofen home from my office, so I'm prepared for the joint pain.
