IU will not release a new album this year.

Aw, disappointed but kinda expected. She released Eight this year with Suga and she's been filming for her first movie role. Plus ever since Chatshire she's been releasing an album every other year, anyway while on years she's not releasing an EP or album, she's releasing a single or collaboration.

Looks like IU is releasing a new album after all, according to EDAM's "new employee Lee Jidong" lmao 

But she didn't say whether it's going to be this year or next year, just that the album will drop with no prior notice.
