Do you think it's rude to get a message from someone but don't reply, yet you're online since you're updating your status? Are they being rude?

Kind of. I always feel bad when I do that even when I don't even like the person (for example, a random guy interested in me). It is rude, but I think sometimes it's better just to ignore. Unless it's a close friend and we talk a lot, I feel even worse because that's actually nasty, especially when they're waiting for your response. It depends on the situation though. If I know the other person won't care it's not that bad.
