Rumors about Big Hit Entertainment's acquisition of Zico's company KOZ has started to surface. As a result, people have grown interested to see whether the decision was final or not.

On September 3rd, music representatives reported to News 1 that "CEO Bang Si-hyuk has contacted KOZ Entertainment and is actively discussing the acquisition."

In this regard, Big Hit Entertainment announced a cautious position in News 1 on the day, saying, "We are opened to various opportunities" and "There is no decision taken yet."

original post: here

1. They said that it hasn't been decided but seeing an article about it, looks like they got acquired ㅋㅋ

2. Why? Even Highgrnd is under CJ so... That's Palo Alto's companyㅋㅋ but I do think that KOZ has nothing to do with being under Big Hit labelㅋㅋ

3. They must have paid a lot for these acquisitions. As expected, they have a lot of money so looks like they are making a lot of acquisitions

4. Big Hit is daeba

5. Looks like Zico is earning a lot tooㅋㅋㅋ Isn't Zico the CEO of that company? So aren't they paying Zico for the acquisition?

6. They must have not have a lot of funding and power so all these companies are just getting acquired so they can grow

7. Looks like BTS are the backbone for all the money they made. Bang Si-hyuk really hit the jackpot

8. Zico is finally entering a big companyㄷㄷ

9. That's right. This investment is way better than going into some restaurant business. Bang Si-hyuk is smart

10. Bangtan has really made a lot

so is Zico basically giving full control of his company away? For a guy with the no.1 song of the year by a male artist this seems kinda weird especially given how new his label is which he created specifically to run it the way he likes.

Zico must need money to accept to sell his company to BH.

Zico has never liked to be controlled by a company, he stayed with Seven Seasons because he had freedom to do whatever he wanted, even though he decided to quit Block B and open his own label to have full control of his career.

There was a time that YGent seemed to be interested in him, he could've gone to YGent, what honestly could've been a great deal, despite all the controversities/scandals the company has.

Zico is probably already fed up with having to take care of boring business matters - also, BigHit has more connections than he personally does, and they're good at managing and marketing their artists.

Zico is very ambitious, and he knows that his career can only grow so much as a small independent label. Plus he went through a pretty rough patch after leaving Seven Seasons, not having anybody but himself to handle the Golden Phone thing probably made him think a bit about the benefits of having a company to shield him.

thinking this way is so weird, there is a other guy there but still, as a one artist he would be signing to bighit not selling his "one man" company lmao i'm guessing the pandemic isn't being nice to small labels

his controversy really died down there apparently, people moved on fast
