X1 Just Held A Reunion To Celebrate Their First Anniversary

They got together for the first time since disbanding.

The members of X1 just held a reunion to celebrate their 1 year anniversary of their debut.

According to an exclusive report from SPOTV, the members of X1 gathered at an undisclosed location in Seoul just yesterday, August 27, to celebrate the group’s first anniversary together.

10 out of the 11 members were present at the reunion, with just Kim Yohan unable to attend due to his schedules for his first solo single “No More.”

This is the first publicized meeting of the members being together following their sudden disbandment in January 2020. It has been reported that during this meeting, the members held a long conversation together and resolved any remaining misunderstandings.

X1 was formed through Produce X 101 in 2019, and quickly rose to the top of the Boy Group hierarchy. However, the group was also plagued with a vote manipulation scandal, which ultimately resulted in their disbandment.

It's not everyday people celebrate a disbandment so soon. Especially one that ended not so pleasantly. Since they actually met at Swing and made it public, anything is possible. Also I saw other fans excited and wondering too.

Swing wasn’t the one who decided to disband them but company voting for it with mnet

swing and their staff was always nice to x1 and x1 themselves are super close so it’s expected

but when companies themselves decided the disbandment what reunion are we talking about... fans can talk out of hoping but it’s super unlikely to happen if we want to be rational

Honestly, they've been more public about staying friends and their previous ties with the group than IOI and W1 tbh, despite the terms of their disbandment

I thought junho is more surprising even starship kids since seungwoo had many interactions with other members and promoted them on his personal social media even attended and let members attend the solo fanmeetings

at the end of the day, doesn't matter who all decided previously. what matters is how everyone feel now. 

covid forcing companies to change some of their plans could be a factor too.

idk there's still a chance they can reunite under swing...or somewhere..

the reunion doesn't have to be right now

it could be later. like next year or after..

it also don't have to be promoted heavily either. it could just be a digital single and a mv.

not IOI when everytime one of them release something, all the girls post on ig about it and some even go to the showcases. also members like mina and yeunjung uploading pics of e/o on ig from time to time or the girls guesting on Somi's show

as a follower of all 3 and based on what I see regularly on the tl, IOI and x1 are the ones who mention their ex-members the most, with x1 being mostly due to the recent disbandment and promoting at the same time, but yeah your impression might be different. your comment just sounded a bit like "they look closer than w1/ioi" to me

X1 meeting doesn't surprise me. I think they all must feel the loss of what amazing group they could have been.

that's not what I meant lol I more meant considering how BAD their fallout was it's surprising that they're not more restricted in terms of associating themselves with the group/other members and it's good to see them still supporting each other publicly and stuff

It's nice to see they remain in touch. They were clearly very close so I don't rule out a reunion even if it's just for a single or something, or only some of them participating.

ah yes... crumbs... 

I don't think an official reunion will ever happen. I.O.I tried it but got scrapped from the manipulation controversy. Even before that, not all the members were going to participate. At this point I think the ex-produce group with the highest likelihood of potential reunion in the future might be IZ*ONE but even then I think the probability is very low.
