Comments:

1. Did SMTM pay him 100 yuan? [+12085]

Response: Hahahaha 100 yuan, so we paid him 100,000 yuan.....[+3378]

2. There's something wrong with him, there's really something wrong with him. If popular Korean celebrities really speak in this way, then what are they thinking? They always say stuff weirdly; do Chinese people have too much "dumb money?" [T/N: not sure how to translate this to English, but refers to how the influx of wealth has caused people to just throw around their money like it's nothing/spend it on stupid things] [+8439]

Response: ??? He said it was because he had to stay in Korea to manage his company, so he accepted 10x less his original salary from The Rap of China's program producers so he could stay in Korea to film. How is he being weird??? Doesn't this just mean he gave up money for his career? [+6107]

3. Take a close look at the image. He said it was so he could manage his company. The comments, are they starting up again just like this?  [+6983]

4. Because you have to manage the company, or else the company won't have anyone. [+3603]

5. Because H1GHR will be releasing an album in September, so for the company, he directly said he would let go of the 1000x appearance fee. He received 10x less so he could stay in Korea and record remotely. It's just to say that for the sake of the album, he gave up a lot, and doesn't it say up there, his position is irreplaceable. In my opinion, isn't it just flexing? Does he mean to mock?  And Korean artists all have low salaries, don't we all know that? [+3445]

6. ❓[+3042]

7. 1000x...isn't this just because iQIYI pays high salaries and Korean artists' salaries are very low? [+2256]

I agree.

People are really trying to find anything to diss him so he won't be on the show.

cnetizens have criticized his appearance as a coach since he doesn't speak fluent Mandarin, and in the past contestants were kicked out for not being fluent in Mandarin and rapping in English.

Staying in Korea is better so he won't face the C-public and also  a way to avoid staying 14 days in quarentine in a hotel room.  Jay could have taken care of his company from far, that'd not be the 1st time a CEO would do it.

i dunno.
Jay's received public boycotts, suicide petitions, even a public slap to the face before.
So idt he'd be bothered by criticism.
Also c-public usually just criticize artists online or report them to SARFT (censorship agency).
If Jay is going to be publicly harassed, it would be by his own c-stalker* fans.

I do agree it's to avoid the quarantine tho.
And unless i'm mistaken it would be 28 days total quarantine.
14-days quarantine in China hotel room going in
Then another 14 days quarantine in Korea hotel room when he comes back.
And he usually has a collab track with his artists as cross promotion
So if he's going to China that would mean he'd have to miss almost a month of performing collabs with his artists in Kr.

Jay is more than just a CEO at h1gher and AOMG. He’s still an artist under both and h1gher is releasing a mixtape or something that he’s a part of. He needs to promote it also.

Most of it has happened 15 years ago. He has been criticized, but also praised a lot by knetizens.

In China would be harder than in Korea, since he'd be all by himself with people around him speaking in Mandarin while he relies on translations. If you ever saw K-artists on C-TV shows, you'd understand why it's harder in China. At home, he can be more comfortable with a translator beside him or using technology resources to translate and also having the chance to do fast researchs.

Honestly, it has been hard for artists who need to promote in Korea and China.

at this point, Jay should've had artists under his labels who are able to be popular withouth having to be promoted by him. He got G.Soul from JYP, and since then G.Soul couldn't see one of his songs charting high or even charting; the guy needed to change his name and went to The Voice Korea as an anonymous. Loco had a great promo during "Hyena on the Keyboards" then had a top charting collab and just it.

Jay is the most popular and active artist of his labels since 2013.

He sold AOMG to CJ and now only has about 25% of his 1st agency.

I've seen K-artists on C-TV shows in China.  Yes it's hard with the language gap.
But as long as their cfandom supports them and the viewers see their talent and hard work, they can do well and in Samuel's case win the show.
edit: and since Jay is just gonna judge and not compete in ROC and has weathered a lot of criticisms both in and out of Korea for 15 years, I think he can handle cnet criticism just fine
