Article: Han Seohee's drug use suspicions... 'urine test positive -> hair test negative', granted release

Source: Joongang Ilbo via Naver

1. [+1,016, -9] If her urine tested positive, then it's a positive result, no? Just because her hair test came back negative, she's granted release? Does the court think the public is foolish enough to believe that?

2. [+521, -5] "She accidentally dropped her cup while taking the urine test, so there's a possibility that it was contaminated" this is so ridiculous that I'm actually speechless~ Where in the world was she getting tested that she dropped her cup and somehow got it contaminated with drug substances?

3. [+276, -0] So which bathroom do you have to get tested in where you drop your cup and end up with philopon on it?

4. [+214, -6] It's clear she bought them off. There's no way any non-celebrity would get off like this.

5. [+26, -1] You can have a dozen negative tests but it takes only one positive to prove that you did it~ but it seems like the judges in our country see it the opposite way. They really try so hard to let every criminal free~

6. [+23, -1] I guess whoever's sponsoring her is quite rich ㅋㅋㅋ

7. [+19, -1] Who's the judge? Drug tests are usually determined by the urine tests.

8. [+18, -1] There's a procedure in Japan where they do something to your hair so that you won't get caught on drug tests. I remember agencies would send their celebrities over to Japan for drug issues and get the procedure before coming back. It's some type of chemical they use in the hair dye...

9. [+17, -1] Just let her be. Let her use drugs and die an early death.

10. [+14, -0] In what bathroom in the world can you get your cup accidentally contaminated with philopon ㅋㅋ

11. [+8, -0] Then arrest that toilet

12. [+8, -1] ㅋㅋㅋ What kind of comedy is this? She dropped her cup and it was contaminated with philopon? So are the toilets contaminaetd with philopon at all times? They really want us to believe that?

Sigh, justice huh, what a joke.

This girl will NEVER be punished and so will never learn, she knows it.

Aaaah the power of money.

Every time she gets away with another crime it leaves me wondering just how rich and powerful her family really is. When you think about it, it's actually pretty damn scary and this just makes me remember that there are even (much, much) worse people than her getting away with horrible things due to their power and money, which is horrible to know and not be able to do anything about it.

Exactly. It's really scary to know how much money and power can buy. And like you Saïd there is so many monster roaming free just because they have the means to.

But if it is her family I'm amazed at how they still clean her ass no matter how many times she ruins their name. How long will they do so ?

Gonna have to keep it 100%, there’s much worse crimes than doing drugs and I’m always of the opinion that as long as you’re not harming anyone else it’s pretty much ok

Yes, I also think the laws should change, but they are the current laws there and no matter our own moral compass and country's laws, she's getting off time and time again for things others would be in jail 10 times by now. Is she above the law? If yes, why is it just her and all these chaebols and their children? Not to mention that she was caught smuggling and supplying others with drugs before, she's not your ordinary user that's just harming themselves. She got away due to snitching and her family's connections, which is disgusting.

There's no such thing as an "ordinary user that's just harming themselves." Anyone who does drugs (even alcohol) is always a potential threat to others whenever they're under the influence. Anything that screws with the chemicals in your brain and impairs your judgment is a hazard to both yourself and everyone around you.

That being said, if I ever feel like committing a serious crime, remind me to do it in South Korea. Their justice system is a complete joke.

Yes, and there's still a difference between that "potential threat" and smuggler and supplier, so really, I don't see the point in this discussion. Both are wrong by law either way, but her crimes were many, and yet, she's getting away once again.

Not always. If you're at home alone, watching tv and drinking beer, you are absolutely no threat to anyone.

And what if you decide you don't want to stay at home watching TV anymore? You have to take all of the variables into consideration.

You can still be a threat to yourself with alcohol because of alcohol poisoning.

Han Seohee isn't a casual drug user. She seems to be addicted and this time she was caught using a form of meth. If someone is doing meth alone, there is a chance they can die of an overdoes. How? No one is there to help them if they collapse. No one is there to call for an ambulance and that's why it's so dangerous for an alcoholic or a drug addict to be alone.

Do I agree with her being arrested for drugs? No. But she did break her probation. She needs rehab. This isn't the first or second or third she got caught. She's been caught numerous times. People can hide drug addiction very well, also.

If I'm drunk to the point that I could be a danger to anyone then I won't even want to leave the house and embarrass myself let alone do it. Maybe not everyone has that kind of self control but I do and many other people do as well. Therefore saying that if someone is under the influence of any type of drug is always a potential threat to others is just silly. You can't be a threat to others when there is literally no one around you.

It's called "being under the influence" for a reason. Claiming you'd have sufficient self-control and actually having it are two very different things.
