Why don't people flush the toilets in public restrooms?*

Random question, I know.  But I'm genuinely curious as to why many people don't flush public toilets (well at least around my area).

 

I flush them despite having mild levels of OCD.  Just imagine leaving your urine and feces sit in the toilet for several hours.  Not only will the whole bathroom be filled up with a stench of stuff you ate last night, but the people who use it after you will have to deal with it.  

 

*EDIT: Changing the title of the thread, because some of the responses in this thread tells me that people either can't see the underlying meaning behind the original question that was proposed in the title or that they simply don't bother to read the contents of the original post.

I try not to use it at all tbh. But if I must, then I grab toilet paper, wet it (with sink water) and clean that mother fuck up. Then I spritz a little of my perfume in the cubicle. And then do my business. (Sometimes I even clean the floor tbh). I leave the public restroom feeling like I contributed to the world

I flush everywhere I go....I just either use my foot,or hit the lever as fast as I can, since i'm going to wash my hands anyway.

speaking of which I was sitting in the bathroom at work today playing on my phone not making a sound, and I heard too people come in there, pee - not flush - not wash up, and just leave

more than anything, I hate people who don't wash their hands afterwards....then I have to touch that disgusting handle to leave the bathroom...yuck

Depends how clean or disgusting the bathroom is. But most toilets i go into have auto flush soooo... especially the guys bathroom. I never poop in public toilets
