2. EXO are quite consistent, their prime time was during Growl but even after 7 years, they're still at that level which is pretty amazing

It's a shame that Monsta X don't manage to stay in the rankings for long. I hope they can gain more public recognition in Korea.

Minhyuk has been getting more opportunities recently so hopefully more people will start paying attention to MX.

They really don't seem to make SK's type even though everyone that works with them only have praises about mx. Seems like they really will always be more popular internationally. I always thought they look different from other bgs cause none of them carries the popular flower boy image that usually attract kpop stans, aside maybe Minhyuk (yet his styling and personality often doesn't match either). If Starship focused on international fans instead of koreans they would probably be making even more money than they do now. 5 years after their debut and we still don't regularly have english subs in their videos... Smh Starship is fucking clueless

 

Odd enough, I found a video of them taking care of children from MXRay on youtube and it has over 10mi views, the title is all in korean and don't say their name, most people who watched the video probably dont know its MX. I literally found it by accident. Idk, MX definitely got the potential but Starship really doesnt seem to know how to market it.

Yeah, honestly Starship sucks at promoting them. It seems like they just don't know what to do half the time. I don't think they ever expected that MX would get so popular internationally. I feel like if Starship really wanted to focus on MX becoming more popular in Korea they'd probably have to change their sound. Most of their songs aren't really that public friendly (well their Korean title tracks anyway). Shownu does pretty well on variety shows and it seems like he's the only member who has decent public recognition. idk but I feel like Minhyuk certainly has the potential to gain more popularity and maybe Hyungwon too if they pushed him (but they kinda suck at giving Hyungwon opportunities). It's a shame that they don't get more recognition though because there's not a single untalented member in the group.
