Most of the newer K-Pop groups today make up of young and sometimes very young members. Their ages limit the amount concepts they can do and get away with. Cute and innocent seems to be the go-to concept and is adored by Korean fans of all ages. Sometimes we see groups debut with a Hip-Hop concept like GP Basic, Sonamoo, Wa$$up, and A.Kor. While these groups moved to different styles it was Rubber Soul that stuck to Hip-Hop from their debut to the time they disbanded. Purfles, being an older group when they debuted, went straight dance/girl-crush from the get-go and fairly kept that as their overall concept until they (prematurely) disbanded. That bold style without a doubt suited them perfectly, not only because of their ages, but they were badass.

While I think there are more concepts than (1) cute/innocent, (2) girl crush/bad girl, (3) sexy/sensual, they seem to be the concepts K-Pop fans talk about the most. Personally I don't define generations in K-Pop by the rotation of concepts. I think it's more to do with the stages of growth in K-Pop. Though the fact that new groups are cranked up continuously and the groups seem to get younger and younger, we are likely to see the rotation of styles come and go with the cute and innocent leading the pack.
