With sexy concept coming back again?

Similarly to 2nd gen we got the cute/innocent era followed by girl crush/bad girl era and with Monster and Apple as releases from major players (groups) we seems to be entering sexy/sensual era once again.

Which will most likely bring rise to new cute, fresh, innocent gen in like a year or two.

Hm...

Or do you think the intl popularity of kpop will limit it to concepts which are west friendly?

Wish we got bops like Loving you, Heart attack, Something etc again.

both co-existed together and its going to be the same now too. weeekly and woo!ah! were definitely faaaar from sexy and im sure the smngg will be far from sexy too

I was talking more about general trend in the industry then newly debuted groups going sexy route. Even in 2013 it was mostly already debuted groups who switched concepts. Neither Girls Day or AOA or Exid (or hell even Stellar) were debuted to do sexy concept. The generation of idols and fans simply grew to it. They switched to it and find success through it.

yall really think they are about to debut idols in their early 20s?  That's the only way they can get away with sexy in this current social climate, and I highly doubt that will happen.

It isnt about debuting groups but groups who are already in the industry like what happened before. So yeah 20+ girls.

Who was disliking every comment in here 💀

But tbh, do we need the sexy concept to come back full force? Do we want rookie groups being forced into that? I can only think of the Stellar situation.

Not every group is Stellar, not everyone took sexy this far. Stellar wasnt rookies when they went to sexy concept. Think more about Sistar, Girls Day, AOA (musically, the bullying situation aside), NineMuses, After School, Exid, etc.

Aoa hated some of their sexy concepts and were uncomfortable with some of the stuff in mini skirt. you're naive if you didnt think any of the groups didnt get coerced like stellar.

Yeah. And some totally hated and felt uncomfortable with cute concept. Its naive to think that idols making innocent / cute songs arent sexualized.
