Is that what men want to receive from their girlfriends?

Isn't clothes one of the last things a boy wants?

I mean, there are better presents out there that can make men truly happy.

What do they prefer?

Please enlight me.

i think married men do but not those not thinking of marriage yet. not sure really, but i rarely see people in a relationship give clothes, friends do, work colleagues do but not bf/gf.

It really depends on the individual.

A lot of my friends already shop for themselves, so they wouldn't really expect clothing for presents. And all of their partners already know this.

There are a lot of guys out there who do not shop for themselves--at least not frequently--so their partners might feel obliged to keep them looking spiffy when going out with friends. There are other ulterior motives, of course, like not wanting to be embarrassed.

As for me, I fall into the second category, so I wouldn't mind it. I think it shows a lot of character, that she would go out of her way to dress you up. Maybe it's her just wanting you to be what she expects of you, but I don't really think it's too troublesome.

Idk if boys want to receive clothes but I've given clothes as a birthday gift to my boyfriend before. It was a winter jacket and he seemed to love it : /

If he loved it, then consider yourself lucky! Because why would men prefer clothes when there are games/tickets to whatever/food which everyone knows they love? I mean they are not girls, they are not always thinking of clothes like we are...

So you're saying that most guys think it's fine, but it seems like clothes isn't what would really make a guy happy like how a girl gets when she receives jewels.?

I think he liked it for that reason tho. I knew all his friends would get him things like games and food, and he really needed a jacket but was too lazy to go buy one. It really depends on the guy but clothes aren't always a bad option imo.

Like I said, it depends on the individual.

I'm sure gay guys or metrosexual guys would be ecstatic about receiving clothes.

An athlete, or someone who enjoys sports, probably wouldn't mind receiving anything with their favourite team's logo on it.

Just recently, I bought two World of Warcraft tees. As a gamer, while I would prefer games or gaming gear, I wouldn't be upset receiving clothing that has my favourite game characters on it.

I think boys want something sentimental rather than shirts.

It's like giving a person socks for Christmas, pretty much; no one wants that.

Like, don't give your boyfriend clothing unless you actually gave thought of what you thought he would like, but it doesn't have to be expensive either. Just something nice.

This is from a female perspective though.

It makes sense. Clothes aren't a bad option, it's just that I have this feeling that there are a lot of girls who think they prefer clothes instead of other things : /

I cringe when boys buy clothes for girls, and girls buy clothes for boys i believe clothing is something you shouldn't give to your partner, (unless you are sure your partner wants that exact piece of clothing).

There are items like wallet, cologne, deodorant or watches that are fancier and safer to buy (but really expensive).

Cooking is old fashioned but if you can cook DO IT!!!

Souvenirs are good too.

Idk i give good but unconventional presents but no one has complained.
