Why on earth would BTS or ANY kpop group want to be involved in the shit show that is US politics?

Why do SM send their artist to Trump related events? Kpop is full of so many behind the scenes opportunities, i guess..

How comes that kpop fans dont know that big portion of kpop fans dont even have voting rights (cause they are minors) and that during elections you have only one vote so you cannot spam it until your fave won. 😂 also doubt that even in US there are enough kpop fans to even make difference. Most of the Twitter thingies are loud cause people from all around the world join and cause everyone and their mothers can have multiple accounts. And also because its free. 😂

I don't see that happening. That will just invite hate from Americans and also their own countrymen. Endorsing their own government is fine, but a foreign one? Nah. BTS shouldn't be turned into a political entity. First and foremost they're musicians.

People underestimate the power of kpop fans on twitter lol, I saw so many locals/clearly non fans begging armys and other kpop fandoms to spam fancams on hateful and racist hashtags lol. It's been fun, they recently spammed the pompous hashtag started by white middle aged men 'British lives matter'. It was awesome to see them on Obama's Dear Class of 2020. How can anyone deny the influence of BTS at this point? The power and influence they hold amongst the younger generation is more than most other musical acts worldwide and this is a fact. I will say that I hope they stay out of politics, but I like them using their voices to raise awareness for big current events, like with their generous BLM donation, it inspired so many fans to match it and has helped the cause so much.

See right there. Kpop literally mocked the death of innocent white men en masse, and are actually proud of it and are boasting about it.

How can white people on here and among kpop fans be silent about it? Some of you still think you belong in this community?Wake up. If you were at their place, or if it was your brother, father, friend, anyone , whole kpop fandoms would spit at you and laugh while boasting how proud they are of what they're doing, only because you and the victims are white.

White kpop fans, watch this. This is what kpop fans are mocking and supporting, while keeping you ignorant of it.

Do your research on Zachary Hammond, Brandon Stanley, James Scottt, Dylan Noble, Andrew Thomas, Daniel Harris, Robert Ethan Saylor, Keith Vidal, etc.

I don't get all the variations people try to make on Black Lives Matter.

There is clearly a huge issue with black people being harmed.

If people -really- care about another cause, they should think up their own hash tags.

The tweet was obviously an exaggeration lol. But there was some truth. As you said, Kpop fans do have a lot of power. BTS fans specifically is a whole army, literally.  Fans' voices can be heard far and wide on sns. We cross all age groups and genders. So Kpop idols (or their companies) unofficially officially supporting certain candidates isn't much of a reach. Simply doing certain events like Dear Class 2020 with the Obamas has an impact. No matter how small it may be.

Don't get me wrong, I don't agree with fancams being used for mocking tragic events (British lives matter was trending prior to the horrible event that occurred yesterday and was in defence of hate groups crashing BLM protests). I usually hold an anti fancam stance (they can be very annoying) but in the instance of fans using it to drown out hate, it definitely has its uses.

Politics is a personal matter and I think the way a person votes should come down to the messages and actions of the candidates, not by the party lines or endorsements they acquire. If what AOC said was true then those people have interfered and made a mockery of our political process. If those same actions happened against her I pretty much guarantee she would be pissed. Vote on the candidate(s) that you believe in. That's how you make a difference.

These are wise words. The ideal situation. However people are different, not the same.  People vote for many reasons. Which is why celebrity endorsements is a thing.
