People underestimate the power of kpop fans on twitter lol, I saw so many locals/clearly non fans begging armys and other kpop fandoms to spam fancams on hateful and racist hashtags lol. It's been fun, they recently spammed the pompous hashtag started by white middle aged men 'British lives matter'. It was awesome to see them on Obama's Dear Class of 2020. How can anyone deny the influence of BTS at this point? The power and influence they hold amongst the younger generation is more than most other musical acts worldwide and this is a fact. I will say that I hope they stay out of politics, but I like them using their voices to raise awareness for big current events, like with their generous BLM donation, it inspired so many fans to match it and has helped the cause so much.

Don't get me wrong, I don't agree with fancams being used for mocking tragic events (British lives matter was trending prior to the horrible event that occurred yesterday and was in defence of hate groups crashing BLM protests). I usually hold an anti fancam stance (they can be very annoying) but in the instance of fans using it to drown out hate, it definitely has its uses.

So Kpop idols (or their companies) unofficially officially supporting certain candidates isn't much of a reach. Simply doing certain events like Dear Class 2020 with the Obamas has an impact. No matter how small it may be.
