I still remember that BH had disagreements with MUSIC STATION of TV Asahi and other Japanese television stations to the point that BTS no longer makes presentations on some TV channels in Japan because of how they were treated.
but even so BH HAS agreements with TV Asahi for the promotion of TXT in music station next Friday.

I think the problem comes from the music core, isac and gayo PD.

Isn't the "ban" is only with MBC's Music Core and possible MBC Gayo Daejeon? Because I read that GFRIEND and TXT were still appearing in other MBC shows and MBC even broadcasted BTS's concert (?) just days before? If so, maybe this is just Big Hit and MBC's Music Core (and MBC Gayo Daejeon)'s attempt of straightening things out so that there will be no longer problems between the two sides? Another possibility is Big Hit is attempting to use SEVENTEEN's appearance in Music Core to get another group to appear in the show. Since I don't think there will be any problems if they were GFRIEND and TXT and of course BTS, it may be related to I-LAND. This is a huge huge speculation but other broadcast channels were very reluctant about Mnet's survival groups appearing on their music shows.

People dont want to let carats discuss/criticize and defend big hit like its their fave instead of groups. Its literally Seventeen and their company issue. If it was any other company people would be defending svt to heaven and back, but because its bighit their stans take any criticism as personal offense to themselves. Im tired. 

Otherwise dont worry too much about Seungkwan rip, he is a stubborn guy, even with nothing he can rise really well. I wish he didnt had to stress through all this when he could be one of the most popular variety stars if given proper support. At least they keep repeating this ban only applies to gayo and music core even if pledis refuses to comment on it, so dont worry

Nah I still feel MBC is trying to make themselves look like the good guys here. Heck there some ifans who don't even know that it's MBC who started all of this. I've had to tell a few even on OH ><;;. The people in this thread is doing exactly what MBC want. Defending them. What MBC did was shitty. Period. Using their power like that was not acceptable. I'm not going to defend MBC. MBC didn't see much benefits in TXT and Gfriend so they blocked them from a few shows to get back at BTS. It never was full ban. However with Seventeen now they're realizing this can't keep going on forever. Losing BTS from some shows is already a huge loss, losing 17 too would be damaging. 

Side note: "The child of" lol i remember the OLD days when BTS were considered the "sons of mnet" haha...I bet even many Armys don't remember and/or know about that. We Armys use to even be proud of the nickname. How things have changed~! XDDD

Yea, it was never was a full ban. 

hmmm I'm not sure about that speculation. Seems it would be easier to use BTS for I-land. Give MBC what they truly want (BTS) in return for more opportunities for I-LAND. In general, groups from Mnet don't have that hard of a time on music shows anymore.

 

edit: Honestly TXT were the ones who suffered the most from this whole MBC issue. They were rookies who needed as much exposure possible. If I was Bighit I would be pissed too.

Svt was called mbc's sons at one point because they both had amazing relationship, and mbc would do varieties to special stages to special showcases which at that time they didnt do for other groups, now its all gone with a petty fight

The problem is not with the channel as a whole though, but with a particular producer who runs Music Core and the end year MBC Gayo show. The statement is from the Music Core team not from MBC.

Mbc doesnt want bighit but wants svt, svt is the innocent party here. I already said if bh wants to ban svt, they should at least make an exchange. Before they even showed support, they go around banning things. Svt is already performing less and less, and without their choice another music show is banned for them.

I mentioned BTS because they're the reason MBC started all of this with Bighit. BTS was in in America for another event, couldn't attend a MBC event, and MBC retailied by blocking TXT and Gfirend.

So what's your answer? Are you fine with big music shows using their power to try take advantage of idol groups?

I don't have a problem with 17. I feel 17 will be fine with or with out MBC. They're at a level like BTS where their success does not depend on music shows.

Tue. All of them have their problems. 

Bighit have the right to be pissed, in my opinion. They were not the ones who started any of this. MBC did. BTS missed ONE event due to an overseas schedule.  SHould they let anyone who want to walk all over them? Besed it's not like Bighit has stop sending their groups to ALL mbc shows.

How should a company in Bighit position responded to MBC when they blocked TXT and Gfriend? Just let MBC walk all over them? Again, Bighit do send their groups to some MBC related stuff.

I'm not pressed. Why should I be? BTS isn't being harmed with this, let's be real. However I don't think it's right for music shows to play dirty like this with idols. It's not fair to any of them.

yeah ofc they have a right to be pissed i think so too, but i dont see allowing gfriend and seventeen to go on music core to let "anyone walk over them", i just think its more logical to keep them out of it since theyre not an "actual" bighit group and didnt have anything to do with this. and i dont think its cool for non-seventeen to be like oh whatever its just one show out of 7 who cares!!! fans like seeing their favs perform, as much as possible so ofc it sucks

Did you not read the knetz comments? This whole MBC statement is being released right now because articles were released earlier dragging MBC about their Bighit mess. (there aee threads here, if you need a refresh)

I see statements i see comments, i dont agree with comments at all bcs netizenbuzz translated them all very biasedly. I checked around 3 articles today, and netizenbuzz had to be only one that translated comments only about bh and nothing about svt.

for starters, mbc used gfriend to get back at bts. 

"walking over" was more so referring to the earlier situation before 17. nonetheless 17 is in a different situation since they just joined the drama. we we'll have to wait and see how bighit will handle them. again it's not a full mbc ban. (tho i will not be surprise if 17 don't attend music core...i will not be surprise if they do either )

i mean, even as casual fans and/or non-fans we can have opinions about other groups espcially if they're not bashing.  but like i told someone else i'm only here because this relates to bts. missing one show is not a big deal, for me. besides music shows are tiresome for idols. 17 can use the break, in my opinion. they can still win music core awards too since music core don't have the attendance rule. again these are my opinions and feelings. y'all can feel however you want.

i mean, mbc are the ones who started all of this mess. i don't care about bighit. i care about the groups under them. and i don't like the way mbc treated them.

17 isn't a victim. they will not be harm by not attending some shows, in my opinion. however 17 is in a odd situation since they joined bighit after all of this mess. let's see how things will go for them tho. maybe they will go to music core.
