Which groups do you think will appear on Kingdom along with The Boyz?

There’s a rumor of Seventeen, Nct127, SF9, Monsta X, and victon. I don’t know though since Victon might have fit with RTK too, and I feel like Astro fits in there better than SVT or NCT.

it supposed to air in August so there is still time.

MONSTA X, NU'EST (more possible than SEVENTEEN), ASTRO, SF9, ATEEZ, Stray Kids.

But the rumors about SEVENTEEN are more and more stronger. If they come to Kingdom they will be have a big level above others like Mamamoo was in Queendom.

I read SVT and SF9 will comeback soon. Maybe their promos will be shorter?

For me SVT will go to Kingdom if they don't have planed big things like tours or paid streaming shows for august-october.

NCT127 is less possible but rumors are big maybe Mnet is insisting.

can anyone explain to me what exactly is going on i really thought rtk is done and that's it? so there's gonna be actual kingdom?

RTK was to give a chance to lesser known/rookie groups to compete and the winner gets the chance to appear on Kingdom, which will be with more popular groups.

rtk was to less popular groups and the winner can go on kingdom (the boyz sweeties)

kingdom is for more popular groups and the male queendom basically

I think because Mnet only thought in Queendom but with success of format they invented the Road thing for squeeze the format with all bg fandoms buzz drama and make more negotiations with potential top groups for Kingdom

I don't think NCT is gonna go. SM don't send their artists in competition shows, just as judges at most. Plus they have a bad relationship with mnet.

The rumors are that the most probable groups are Astro, SF9, NU'EST/Seventeen (I'd personally prefer SVT plus I don't think NU'EST go to another survival after produce), TxT, ATEEZ and Stray Kids. It'd be such a good line up because they're all groups with big fandoms and/or decent public recognition. If RTK was already decently successful despite being "nugu" groups, Kingdom could be a hit show.

They probably didn't even expect Queendom's success so after seeing how successful the format was, they decided to milk it more and do 2 versions now, one for less popular groups and the main show for popular groups. I'm pretty sure it'll be both road to queendom and queendom next year too now that the franchise is established.

Mnet basically always taste the waters with their shows. Similar to how they did with the produce franchise. They saw how popular S1 and IOI were and they made successive seasons and with the contracts of the winning groups being longer with each season.

not many artists i can think of who are both crazy popular but still need of a push for sales on the single charts besides Monsta X, Stray Kids, and TXT.

SEVENTEEN could use the boost since their digital sales have dipped but their album sales are at an all time high on par with EXO and BTS, while idk if NU'EST would want to appear on yet another competition show.

I would like Monsta X, Astro, Ateez, Victon, Stray Kids and maybe SF9

While as a fan I'd love Seventeen or NCT to appear it seems unlikely

Victon wouldn't have suited RTK better since they're still kinda underrated?

Victon are considered a popular group now, especially in Korea. Last week, Victon was #3 on the gaon album chart, above NCT 127. Mayday has gotten 15 million views in less than 2 weeks, comparable to NCT's Punch is at 20m for 4 weeks and is doing better than Stray Kids' Levanter at the 2 week mark.

Internationally, Victon is just picking up speed now (they are currently rising on Billboard's social 50 chart, at #31) but in Korea, Victon has been a popular group since PDX101 and they are more recognised by the public than groups like Stray Kids and Ateez. They were ranked #22 on Junes Boy Group Brand Reputation Ranking, ahead of got7, sf9, stray kids etc.

I'm not exactly sure on the amount of albums that were sold, I know it is a lot - so much so that on music shows their sales were higher than monsta x

Yeah, that's definitely true, but that's actually the same case with Pentagon and even The Boyz. I mean, Pentagon literally had a digital hit and TBZ charted with their debut song on melon while Stray Kids/ATEEZ have never charted. Even ONF's We must love went viral in some korean online communities. But you're right, Victon right now is more popular/trendy than Pentagon and they can chart higher and sell much more, that's why they probably considered Pentagon for RTK and Victon could be considered for Kingdom.

I think they also count international popularity and sales/touring power a lot because Monsta X, Stray Kids and ATEEZ don't have digital power or public recognition in Korea (or just barely, like MX) but they have big international fandoms and can sell around 200-250k so they're considered top or upper mid tier groups.

Yeah definitely I totally agree!! Those groups might not be able to chart in Korea but they are able to sell out Arenas world wide

Monsta X are speculated to join.

I have mixed feelings about them joining tbh. They have a big international fandom, but their fandom in Korea still isn't that big and aside from Shownu they don't really have much public recognition either. So it would be a good opportunity for them. They've been working basically nonstop for over a year now though and they only just finished promotions for Fantasia so I wish Starshit would let them take a break for once. I can't be dealing with fanwars either lol

Yeah, especially considering that charting is becoming more and more difficult for new groups, especially boygroups, so they have to use other criteria to consider a group top or upper mid tier aside from digitals, such as physical sales, fandom size (domestic or international), touring power, endorsements, etc.
