1. [+1,691, -88] UEE seems like she's gone through a lot of emotional suffering ㅠㅠㅠ I hope she's healthy and happy. And Mango is so cute.

2. [+1,528, -107] Too many people who are so quick to hate on people with no crimes, right here in these comments too ㅋㅋㅋ

3. [+454, -48] She was only 21 years old when she debuted, I'm sure she struggled seeing all the comments judging her body. She got hate no matter what she did, and a lot of the comments crossed into sexual harassment, talking about her honey thighs and whatnot...

4. [+138, -39] She seems like a kind and simple style, very free spirited

5. [+71, -8] I hope she's happier now

6. [+68, -12] I still remember all the sexual comments about her back then ㅋㅋ.. people were talking about nothing but her thighs and her body... not like anything's changed today. The world rarely changes.

7. [+61, -6] I'm happy to see that she seems happier. I wish her more luck! And Mango is so cute ㅠㅠ

8. [+51, -8] UEE got popular when she debuted for her honey thighs but there were also a group of people who were screencapping her stomach, talking about her weight gain and leaving hate comments. Celebrities can't play to every drum, and it's sad to hear that the shock of people hating on her own stomach fat caused her to eat only one meal a day for eight years. Stop with the hate now. You all know that losing or gaining weight isn't as easy as you all make it sound.

9. [+43, -6] I'm sure if she was older, she could've passed on those comments as no big deal, but she was only 21, 22 at the time, a total baby.. imagine how hurt she must've felt.. Time will say that it's not a big deal in the end but.. I wish people would save their hate comments for actual criminals.

10. [+37, -5] Didn't UEE start the whole honey thigh trend? Back then, the trend was super skinny bodies, but she helped change it to skinny but healthy looking bodies. I hope she doesn't continue to live her life in the trauma of it..

Spoiler

I remember Kyla experiencing the same thing with portion of international netizens pitching in their forks too. I hope UEE, Kyla, and other idols that have experienced body-shaming comments have realized that the faults were never on them but on the people that body-shamed them.

im honestly not surprised to hear she was suffering from an eating disorder,  one minute she had this very voluptuous image and the next minute she ended up all gaunt and thin and never went to her old self. Im glad she had the courage to tell her story and hopefully she is in a better mental state now.

speaking of which, did terms like honey thighs, s-line (which made no sense to me), ant waist, etc. fall into obscurity because the last time I saw those terms being used was in 2012.

All of these terms are still used. Berry Good's Johyun constantly gets the S-line comments, OMG girls and Mijoo from Lovelyz often get the ant waist, not even talking about Rose of Blackpink or Naeun of Apink. Honey tights were used on Cheng Xiao last time I heard it.
