Kis-My-Ft2

Kis-My-Ft2 (also known as Kisumai or Kisumai Futto by Japanese fans) is a 7-member pop idol group from Johnny & Assosciates. They were formed in 2005 from two units, Kis-My-Ft and A.B.C. Jr. The name comes from the first letter of each of the member's last names. They were an 8-member group until member Iida Kyohei left to focus on studies.

The group is unique in that all the members do tricks and acrobatic moves on roller skates. They are modeled after an older group from their agency, Hikaru GENJI, who also used to perform on roller skates. The group held their first solo concert in 2008, and had their own tour in 2009. In August 2011, the group officially debuted under Avex and the same year they held their first concert at Tokyo Dome.

A correction for the op: the picture you used for Yokoo Wataru is actually Kitayama Hiromitsu. Also, "Fire Beat" and "Inori" have PVs.

Anyway.

:ahmagah:

Two PVs were released to promote Kis-My-Journey: "Seven Journey" and "3.6.5".

Of the songs listed in the op, I suggest "Unmei Girl" for its pop perfection, "My Resistance -Tashikanamono-" because it's a nice, uplifting attempt of a ballad, and "Ai no Beat (Dance Ver.)" and "Ki・Su・U・Ma・I ~KISS YOUR MIND~" for the undeniable addictiveness.

99% of Kis-My-Ft2's music isn't readily available on YouTube, not even short versions, soooo I have to use SoundCloud and other things.

The opening track after the intro to Good Ikuze! (easily their best album), "Black & White". It caught a lot of people off guard because this isn't a song anyone expected to open the album with, and it's very well off the wall relative to the singles they promote.

"Take Over" from Kis-My-1st is pretty similar in style, but it's simply not as good.

They only have two albums, but the first songs tend to be pretty decent, actually.

Hiromitsu has always been my favorite, but all the best solos always go to Taisuke, as evidence in "xLunaSx", "Think u x.", and "Love meee".

https://soundcloud.com/iris-c-garay-huaman/4-think-u-x-fujigaya-taisuke

https://soundcloud.com/patsuri/love-meee-fujigaya-taisuke

If I had to pick a favorite for Hiro, it would probably be "Give me..."

As far as the singles they've released for their most recent album, I can't honestly say I'm a huge fan of them. "SNOW DOME no Yakusoku" is cute, but... I've never preferred  Kis-My-Ft2 B-sides over the title track up until this era, like "Zutto ~You Are My Everything~" and "Motetai ze Tonight".

The album will likely be uploaded soon and I'll give my opinion on that when it drops.

They also have a subunit with the four deadweights (Kento, Toshiya, Takashi, and Wataru) called Busaiku, but that is a tragedy and you shouldn't look for the song. :derp:

always had a love/hate relationship with Kis-my-ft2 and other Johnnys groups like Sexy Zone where only 3 of the members sing, are larger in the single covers, and even have distinct outfits from the rest of the members who act as backup dancers

Johnny has been doing that for years. The same can be said about Hey Say Jump and Kat-tun.

---------------------------------------------

I like their first two releases and pre-songs. However, I really got bored with them and have dropped them.
