Why are doors always left open in Korean dramas?

I always notice people just casually waltzing into someone's house in Korean dramas (unless it's an apartment with a keypad) and I just really wonder if that's just a drama thing or an actual representation of real life. Do Koreans really just leave their homes unlocked for anyone to walk in?

All Korean houses (not just apartments) have key codes to enter, in fact almost all buildings do and keys are considered old fashioned. Parents, family members and close friends typically know your key code and can come and go as they please and it is possible to give the code to staff/delivery people too.

My Korean friends sometimes come home from work and their fridge has been filled up by their mom

I could never, I always lock my door and I live in a fairly safe apartment building

I understand that, but they often show complete strangers just barging in
