worse? i disagree. with tae it could be any number of a reasons why he hasn't been able to correct that. again not everyone is meant to be a perfect vocalist. i mean, many idols are given their positions.

TWICE is my bias group but i wish they could do something with this. i know she's a dancer but she's in a music group and idk i could still get over the fact that not everyone is a Taeyeon or Wendy in a group but it's painful to listen to her, sorry

I was an ARMY for over a year back in 2014-2015ish and am pretty familiar with the group (still have the badges which I need to get rid of). I can say that imo as a former fan and now not an 'anti' but a casual observer, their singing has deteriorated over the years. They are popular because their fans don't care--nearly half of the group are rappers so not all of BTS's appeal is directed towards singing. A lot of their appeal comes from their dancing as well. Jungkook also helps as an alright singer because he covers most of the singing.

The problem of not being able to sing isn't limited to just BTS, they just came to mind when I was trying to give examples. Nearly all fourth gen kpop groups (examples being NCT, ITZY, and BlackPink) have members that can't sing. 2NE1, my ult bias group has members who can't sing, but even as a fan there's no use in trying to argue against the truth.

Maybe she could fix it but maybe she wouldn't. Maybe she would still slip up from time to time.

Sometimes it's hard for people to change the way they talk.  I say "talk" because some habits relates to singing too.

I disagree, about the deterioration part. BTS concerts have always been good. However vocally they've gotten better overall as group. Of course, they still have some issues, but again never said they were perfect.

Again, If BTS were as "shitty" as some of y'all non-fans say, they would be dragged by way more then just Kpop fans. Literally^^. And again, BTS "vocal" line is a very huge part of BTS popularity too.

Yes, many reasons. Dialects, speech problems, confidence, and etc. We just don't know. All we can do is assume here.

In conclusion, no one said vocal line was "perfect" Not everyone is meant to be a great singer. Although personally I feel Tae is doing just fine. Along millions of other too.

honestly this performative outrage on kpop vocals is very boring now. I do think momo is bad but I also believe the parts that she is given play a huge role too. She sounded okay in yes or yes fancy and feel special. More & More and DTNA are her worst. Her voice is naturally nasally so she can't control that but they can give her parts that she can handle and aren't hard for listeners to hear... aside from that I don't care and I think everyone who is MAD?!? should relax a little. She isn't the first kpop idol that can't sing nor will she be the last.

Couple things here. Momo wasn't even supposed to be in twice. She was eliminated but joined twice just for her dancing. Also, I feel like for some people, no matter how much they train or practice, they remain at certain level. Some people just are born with a natural talent for singing, it's not something that can only be learned. Plus JYP groups never focused on vocals, they look at personality and star power. I agree that momo should improve on her vocals but you can't deny that kpop isn't just about vocals. That's why there are so many members to fill in different roles. She gets the least amount of lines along with the rappers for a reason.

I'm not going to argue about her vocals either way. I'm sure she's well aware of her skills and her weaknesses at this point.

 

However I'm confused as to why people are acting as if different roles besides vocalists are a new thing in this thread? Its been no secret many idols are added to groups for reasons other than their vocal abilities. Idols being assigned or taking diffent roles especially if they aren't great vocalists has been happening sinc ethe first generation. True, if she wantst o improve, she could find ways to try and improve. But eh, her vocal abilities nor anyone else takes away from my enjoyment of their music and the group so its not a huge deal to me.

I think all onces know she's not a great singer. If they don't, they need a reality check. Still, I'm not gonna discredit Momo or all of Twice for their hard work over the past 5 years. Each girl has strengths in their own areas, and never has Momo's voice been a reason for me not to enjoy Twice's music. What do y'all expect us to do, unstan?
