How do you feel about Murderers who are out of jail and living their best lives?

I just watched Death By a Cheerleader which was based on a true story and I found out that the murderer is now a Nurse.  I understand that people change but I don't know if I could extend that sentiment to someone that completely ended the life of another.

That's true, I guess I'm just stuck on the victim and how they aren't given the chance to reach their potential while their killer is able to redeem themselves.  Kinda selfish on my part but it is what it is.
