Translation:

Hello, this is Brand New Music.

First of all, we express sincere gratitude to the many fans who give love to AB6IX.

After thorough discussion with AB6IX member Lim Young Min, Lim Young Min’s departure from AB6IX was decided today with respect for his wish to no longer cause harm to the group.

We apologize for causing concern to many fans with the sudden news. In addition, we express our deep apologies to the many people involved in these album promotions due to the team’s situation.

As announced previously, AB6IX will continue promotions reorganized as a four-member group, and we will contribute even further effort to support AB6IX for their future.

Lastly, we once again sincerely apologize for having to share disappointing news to the fans who always support and cherish AB6IX, and we will put in our full effort for them to return with more mature music and performances.

We ask for unchanging love and interest for the four members of AB6IX who are working hard on preparing for their comeback even through the difficult situation.

Thank you.

I lowkey thought he'd stay in the group knowing there have been other male idols that got in drunk driving accidents but didn't have to leave. Those guys got off easily

He must feel so dumb and regret it so much since ab6ix are doing pretty good as one of the post wanna one groups

the sad part is that all of this could have been prevented if he had just called a taxi. something so easy to do.

Thankfully, no one got hurt by his dumb mistake. I hope this guy learns from this.

wishing the group good luck!

I didn't expect this to happen. I thought they would just have him sit out for a comeback or two. This isn't the first time BNM has dealt with a DUI. Verbal Jint had one a few years back. But I guess comparing Youngmin to VJ is a complete stretch when they are different in every way.

Still can't believe that he practically ruined his career by being reckless. I wouldn't be surprised if he tried to come back as a solo in a few years. Not sure how that would pan out though.

Woojin is now the sole rapper of the group which kind of makes the dynamics weird. He's probably rewriting the raps on the mini right this minute.

Ab6ix is a new group, he's a 95 liner which will make him have to enlist in ~ 3 years or so. Him leaving gives more longevity for the group. Besides he honestly does not add much to the group except for, I don't know, ongoing teasing by the other members for his "old age" 🙄. Woojin's rap is far better than his, even his tone is superior.

Anyways, his absence won't be felt.

I totally saw this coming. It wasn't only the DUI, but other scandals and rumors that were popping up like the anti-feminist book or going to clubs and sleeping around. He left or was forced to leave to not ruin the group's image.

Wow he left

I was thinking he was something rebel being idol he was clubbing, drinking, with fxxxboy reputation

Maybe BNM knew about his personality but maybe he had condition of hiding to the public until DUI exposed him

But the cases of drunking idols is growing a lot

Maybe drinking it's like a therapy for them

Daehwi will be work more as group face

He actually looked like a decent guy and I was rooting for him. Good luck to Ab6ix in the future. Can't wish the same for him.

Right now I don't think they're gonna add more members but maybe in the future. People want Eunsang (the former X1 member) to be added but he's not a rapper so idk.
