What would a BLM tweet from BTS do for you?

I understand celebrating the foreign kpop idols who donated to black organizations, but for the fans that are simply demanding a supportive tweet...what exactly will it do for you or the cause?  We aren't a 3rd world country so its not like we need kpop idols to bring awareness in their country so they can send troops to save us.  All a celebrity tweet does at this point is keep them from being cancelled.

Honestly, I feel better about my metal faves talking about it because some of them were close-minded in the past (Avenged Sevenfold) because they are actually learning rather than doing it to be avoid being cancelled. I appreciate my kpop faves that have spoken up but for me it's more personal with my metal faves since I've spoken with a few before.

One of them literally said he finally understood what BLM actually meant. Another one started a tweet for fans to talk about how they feel. I'm glad they are ignoring the fans that are telling them to shut up. I've gotten responses from a couple and I can tell how genuine they feel.

If BTS does talk about it, I hope it's genuine. I just want everyone to know you can't pressure someone to talk about it because they would do it to shut people up.

It would encourage their fans to sign petitions and possibly donate to the cause? Celebrities have a bigger impact on their falling than some may think. Like Taylor Swift for example simply encouraged her followers to register for voting and then there was spike so there’s something. Idk what others are expecting from this but yeah.

PR moves are worse than not posting in my view.

I'm not black; but in my opinion as an ally, I respectfully disagree. Regardless of their intentions, they have a huge platform that could reach a lot of people, especially their younger audience that may not feel particularly strongly about BLM one way or another. To see their "oppas" support a movement would encourage them to do so, or at the very least, look it up and educate themselves about it. Kpop fans collectively have huge spending power. If ARMY can raise enough money to plant a forest or adopt a star constellation, imagine how much money they could raise in bail fund money for example.

this. especially for these big global groups like bts and bp

if red velvet yeri can post about it without having fans or ANYONE ask her to I don't see why her idol colleagues can't. why do fans have to plead for them to post? it should come from them not because a fandom is asking them to

Look at the bigger picture. There's nothing good in supporting things you don't know much about because of social pressure. If everyone is like that, everyone's voice becomes meaningless. In the worst case scenario you're enabling horrible things to happen just for your reputation.

All the main Army fanbases have mainly been talking about the movement since the beginning. Posting hashtags and sharing petitions and donating constanlty. The two weeks leading up to BTS anniversary it's suppose to be BTS FESTA right now, but instead the fandom is focused on BLM more. Fearful of burying BLM tags with our own (which we usually go crazy with the hastags and trends during this period)

So what would BTS posting mean? Nothing much for the fandom.

What would it do to me personally? I guess nothing major realistically. BTS can't physically do anything to change America soon. But I would be so proud.
