Affley 2,944
Article: Suga, backlash over ambiguous statement? "I leave traps for cockroaches in my music" Source: Top Star News via Nate 1. [+2,854, -367] One of the biggest reason the public likes BTS is not because they're talented artists but because everyone saw them build themselves from the bottom up. I've noticed that recently, they've become a little too full of themselves... Yes, it's true that they've grown to become an influential group, but they didn't mature with a sense of responsibility to go with it; I always assumed that they had their own morals inside their own heads but whenever a scandal or problem breaks out, they always hide behind their agency, and it's made me realize that they're just another 20-something year old with money but no sense of personal judgment. 2. [+2,822, -384] Be humble while you're on top. Did you not see how Rain turned the ridicule his music was receiving into an opportunity for him to rise again? He called himself an entertainer. He encouraged people to "play" with him. Yes, haters need to stop, but to outwardly claim them as cockroaches and say that you lay traps for them in your music? The bible tells you not to criticize if you don't want criticism, and to show understanding if you want understanding in return. None of this would've happened if you would've shown more understanding to your haters, and you would've earned understanding in return. Instead, you were arrogant enough to think that you were laying traps out for them but now you've fallen into your own trap. So what is it? Have you learned anything from this? 3. [+2,762, -300] He seems to have fallen into his own trap 4. [+323, -29] He has earned so much more than his actual talents so he is really living in a delusion where he believes that he is greater than he is 5. [+317, -30] He sounds like a total tryhard... 6. [+279, -21] Unless you're an idol like Henry who can write, compose, and arrange your own music, please don't go around acting like you're a prodigy or an artist ㅋㅋㅋ You're basically just putting up a spoon on a table set by other more talented musicians, that does not make you an artist ㅋㅋㅋㅋ 7. [+256, -25] Thank goodness we didn't try to get BTS exempt from the army 8. [+245, -16] Suga acts like he's suffered the entire world's hate and unfairness... but I bet if you gave anyone his picture, they wouldn't know he's a BTS member;; 9. [+178, -40] His songs suck. 'ON' is terrible too. You barely hear it on the radio. 10. [+169, -13] He really thinks he's an artist ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ these celebrities are so drunk on themselves in a world where money is power ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ 11. [+162, -14] He seems to think of the public as a joke. So if people like you, they're your Armies, but if people hate you, they're cockroaches? You can't just divide up the world like that. People can hate you. The entire world should not be expected to like you. 12. [+140, -20] BTS' bubble seems to be popping... They don't realize that they're nothing but a well finished product of their agency. They're so drunk on their own money and popularity that they've become delusional in the realities of their own talent. All of this is what happens naturally by people like that Article: Suga's sampling controversy, this is the time where he needs to show a world star level sense of responsibility Source: Star News via Nate 1. [+427, -115] Learn some common sense. Especially as a world star. 2. [+423, -134] He's no world star. He's over once he enlists in the army. 3. [+396, -84] If only he just admitted it, said he was wrong, and let it end before it got any bigger... 4. [+72, -11] Big Hit is just so bad at handling this stuff. Even with Jungkook, all they had to do was make him personally apologize. With Suga, they should've just made him say "It's my mistake as the producer" and people would've let it go, but Big Hit keeps making them hide behind them and it makes the situation worse... Big Hit handles things like an amateur for how big they've become. 5. [+55, -9] More than anything, he first needs to apologize... 6. [+52, -14] I bet you they'll just bank on the agency's apology, keep it quiet for a few days, and then put out content later like nothing happened ㅋㅋㅋㅋ without one explanation from his own mouth. 7. [+34, -11] If he had just been humble like Rain and invited the public to "play", or had been like GD who admitted he wasn't a prodigy but to still love him, then he wouldn't be getting this much hate. Even now, he's providing his hater "cockroaches" with all this source material ㅋㅋㅋ In his lyrics, he talks about how Korea is too small of a country for him to fully express himself, but I think it's Suga himself who's still too small and hasn't fully experienced what being a star is despite all his wealth. Learn to enjoy yourself. 8. [+31, -6] It's like he's still living with a chip on his shoulder about their early debut days when everyone ignored them. His lyrics are all about how "we're different from you guys, recognize us", so immature and cringy... you guys really think his lyrics are cool?? They could produce much better songs if they would just let go and learn to enjoy themselves where they are now. 9. [+31, -4] What also doesn't make sense about how the producer included the audio in the song without knowing is that you need to go to the source and receive permission to use it so how did they not know the source of the audio? ㅋㅋ 10. [+25, -10] I'm a fan but have no intention to shield him so I hope he is deeply reflecting Source Edited June 1, 2020 by Affley 12

alisha .... 11
It only takes a little while for Yoongi to be fully an artist. the amount of articles used against him shows that people will look for him and see his songs whether good or bad the publicity, his music does not lie. my brother who doesn't like kpop is very proud of his mixtape.

Everything that has been translated so far have been comments from Nate. A K-site with a Kpop niche. Non-fans/trolls who are choosing to focus on negative articles. However there are positive articles being spread to the general public too. And they're not from Bighit, it's just journalist doing their job. There are many Koreans supporting and forgiving Yoongi despite what Nate want you to believe. e.g. Edited June 1, 2020 by satoori 4

There are many Koreans supporting and forgiving Yoongi despite what Nate want you to believe. e.g. I give you an example I always saw controversial news about Ariana Grande but after listening to her music I couldn't hate her, that will happen to yoongi, her music is not a joke, here in LATAM there are very good reactions to her mixtape and they say because he is part from BTS if he's very talented. Most of the Latin pg do not like Army but the radios play the songs of BTS without knowing what their fandom (causes grace) Furthermore, AgustD has a lot of potential in capturing new followers, which is why they see it as a threat. 1

The reason why it hasn't really been highlighted before is because his fans totally dig it and find it attractive. arrogance ??? We are all arrogant and he does not have to be the manager of morals, it is a pity that you have only heard those songs. if you really went beyond your ass you will realize because his mixtape was more welcome and even some Armys were belittling him. Yea, I understand what you were saying, bad publicity is good publicity. I'm sure he will gain even more male fans in Korea. His mixtape is getting even more attention. I was just letting you know that overall it's not all negative. That the people being the loudest are actually just a small Kpop niche of non-fans and antis/trolls. The general public are not turning their backs on BTS or Yoongi. Just like 97 line case, many are probably not even aware of this. If BTS ever get themselves in a huge problematic controversy we'll know. For starters, no one will be able to shield them from the backlash in Korea. Not even the Armys. Affley 2,944
I honestly can't understand the issue in him calling his haters "cockroaches". I'm sure the haters he was mentioning, have called him and his group with much worse names. If he's venting on them through his music then why is he getting labeled as arrogant for it? Either way, this whole hate from nate seems like a combined hatred for the controversies of past two days. But this one in particular doesn't seem like a big deal to me. Jaejoong01 888
Sigh looking at the comments, you can see that most of them are obviously haters targeting Suga and taking his words out of context. It's getting annoying tbh. 2
Trashie 10,243
aside from the original issue if this doesn't have to do with the latest controversy idk why it's a problem... Being an anti for the sake of hating is deserve a call out we need to learn how to differentiate between issues so I'm still waiting for his own apology and see what he must say
.Elle. 30
At this point it is starting to become a witch hunt, take anything they can grab out of context to vilify him. Aside from the Jim Jones issue which was indeed a sensitive topic, and a stupid thing to do in the first place and rightfully deserved to be held accountable for, his intention for sure wasn't to spread violence. Most of those comments come from people who probably have never listed to a song by his in their lives. I'd say he's far from being arrogant given the lyrics from most of his songs, but in the end people will take what they want from it. 4 1

doki-doki 21,660
This is bordering witchhunt territory now. I have no issue with what he said, haters can behave like cockroaches and some of their takes can be dangerously toxic. I know Yoongi is someone who has a heavy conscious and he's talked about not reading hate comments anymore. Nothing wrong with him calling those cockroaches out.
