Ways to improve the mood when on period?

Recommended Posts

My mood gets so low when I'm on my period, to the point I cry for random things. Because of the pains I get during this time, I've been exercising and eating better for some time already and these got better, but it doesn't seem to help with my mood yet. You guys know any food or activity that can help with it?

Get out a good crying session when you're comfortable and alone, then stuff your face with chocolate or whatever snack you crave while PMSing. It does wonders! I usually buy a lil tub of ice cream and watch wholesome animal videos on youtube. Good luck op!

i indulge one of my cravings (usually for something sweet) and watch a documentary or cartoon or something.  archer is a good show to binge-watch for its humor and entertainment value.  otherwise i alternate between listening to really sad music and bumpin' synth pop...i'm very fortunate that i don't experience much pain, mainly emotional stuff, but my friends and family who have severe cramps swear on hot pads and exercise.

good luck xx

I usually up my chocolate intake during my period, and watch funny animal videos on YouTube. Just bury yourself in blankets (I recommend also using a hot water bottle for cramps, it works wonders for me), eat something nice (and perhaps sweet), watch a nice movie, series or just videos, and just take care of yourself ^_^

I always feel better after a long warm shower. You get to be clean, comfortable and warm and alone all at the same time.
