- So there was that one time when he came back to China after spending Christmas and went shopping with Baekhyun in Korea, the day he came back wearing Baekhyun's clothes, the picture on his phone screen looked like a group picture so a lot of OT9 fans were speculating about it but the picture wasn't very clear so they couldn't reach a conclusion. Now we know it was really a group picture T_T

I’m probably going to get downvoted but I don’t care. Listen, I used to be a hardcore EXO-L between 2012-2015 and a big Luhan fanboy and OT12 stan. And I used to hate SM and defended Kris/Luhan/Tao to the death when they each left. But honestly, as the years went by, and looking back now... I’m able to see things differently. I can’t help but feel disappointed that they left EXO. I mean there was good reason for them to leave, and they did have deteriorating health, but at the end of the day, what it all boiled down to was money. They chose their own careers over the prosperity of the group. They’re much happier now, and I’m happy for them - but Lay has shown us that it WAS possible to be loyal to EXO while still developing a successful Chinese career. Lay is a big star in China, dare I say, just as big as the others. I honestly believe that over time, had the other Chinese members stayed, SM would have let them gradually venture into China to build their careers independently of the Korean members and the rest of the group, just as Lay had.

no way. the only reason lay got so much freedom was because they didn't want to lose him and victoria as well. i don't think he's going to resign with sm after his contract is up, doesn't mean he's better or worse than the other c-members leaving, but it really did take those members leaving for sm to let lay do his thing

The only reason Lay is even famous in China is because SM didn't want to risk him leaving too, he got his own studio right after the others left. If they had stayed none of them would have been this big.

Those three had very good reasons to leave. Just because Lay is now reaping the benefits of enduring SM's mistreatment doesn't mean that it was right. None of them shouldn't have even had to go through what they did. 

I disagree with you on this. Let's not make light of what they went through.

The only reason SM let Lay and Victoria go to China is because they saw how much money Kris and Luhan were making. SM got what they deserved.
