VIPS/Ex-VIPs, what are your feelings towards bigbang these days?

pls no report, i am quite obviously a bigbang fan l o l.

I took an extended break from K-Pop around the time that Burning Sun emerged, because it completely broke me up. Whilst my ult is/has always been GD, I held He Who I Will Not Waste My Oxygen Saying His Name in high regard. So when it happened, I was at a complete loss. In retrospect, I'm sure it was stupid to have invested so much time, money, and personality in them, but I really did love them all with all my heart.

I've been following GD exclusively for a few months now, but I've only really started listening to BB again recently, as well as the rest of Kpop, since it was all a slap in the face. It feels weird listening to his voice these days, like I'm doing something dirty. And I'd prefer he wasn't in interviews, also. Made me wonder how everyone else got on in the aftermath. Do you still listen to OT5? Or watch old stuff? Do you stan as hard as you used to?

I listen to them from time to time but then again I don't really listen to kpop as much as before outside of SNSD. I don't care about Seungri. I never have even before his scandal. He's been a non-factor as a VIP and will remain so. The beauty of that is he only had a couple of lines per songs so it's not like "OMG I CAN'T LISTEN TO THEM" because I forget he's even there.

I didn't take the scandal to heart because I always knew he wasn't a good person based on BB saying they would be four anyway.

In conclusion, was always OT4 just waiting for that moment when Seungri would fall from grace. I knew it was coming.

I admit I haven't listened to them ever since or even got close to anything related to them.

What was a real slap in the face for me is that I'm usually a good judge of character and yet he was my bias, I really loved his personality (f*ck) so I was quite shocked to see how wrong I was and how blind I could be.

I wasn't really a V.I.P but I truly enjoyed their MADE album (especially LOSER and Last Dance).

I still can listen to them but not with the same feeling as before and also I can't watch their MV since the scandal.

I was very shocked by the scandal, but I can't say I'm in a position to say that I can't listen to them. I always enjoy their songs, I don't think a scandal of a member can change that for me. In my eyes, we don't know anything about any idol or celebrity in general. Who is to say everyone else I listen to is not doing something behind closed doors that could ruin their career? The fact is just that I don't know it, and may never know it. So I do not allow that to affect my enjoyment of the music.

If they were to ever release another song as 4 members, I would probably listen to it, as well

I honestly still listen to BB these days, my favorite member has always been Taeyang, I love his solos.

I was looking forward to see how they would perform at Coachella. ''A Fool Of Tears'' is one of my favorite, maybe even my favorite song by BB so I still listen to some of their old stuff.

i've known them since 2012 and listened to them a lot back then. i don't listen to them anymore, though nowadays i don't even listen to my ult groups' songs daily. i have good memories with their alive/still alive album though.

I never was a stan, but like most Kpop fans from the 2nd gen I knew Big Bang! So of course I knew many of their songs and like some too. I enjoyed watching a few shows and interviews with them too. I guess I could consider myself a casual fan. Actually lower, a casual listener-viewer. BB was the group I would use when introducing friends/muggles to Kpop too before BTS and BP. Now after the scandal I pretty much don't do anything with Big Bang. It's hard to listen to their music without thinking about the scandal. Also GD recent post supporting OT5, doesn't sit well with me either. I get it, the group been together forever, so they're going to view each other differently then we do. But that's not me. Basically I'm sort of done with BB, right now. I don't listen to any of their music.

This will probably get me negs, but oh well, we're all being honest right now. One of the main reasons I could never "stan" BB was due to their image. I didn't like how BB/YG pushed the whole "cool" and "unapproachable" image as they got popular. I didn't like how so many Kpop fans put them on a pedestal either, basically BB was able to get away with anything in the past. I'll admit I expected Seungri to be saved again. I never imagine the incident would get so big.

Don’t worry about being negged. It’s your opinion. Apparently I got negged for what I said. It’s all opinions so I don’t know why people are mad.

I still listen to BigBang and watch their MVs.

Admittedly, I cringe when he comes on (but I've always cringed at him!), but I won't let that ruin my enjoyment. I loved their music before, I love it now.

See, the thing is, I like bands/singers/etc because they make music that speaks to me in some way. Most of my favourite groups are metal bands from the 70s/80s, and the stuff they got up to is legendary! So most 'scandals' in k-pop are less than nothing for me.

I draw the line at serious crimes that actively harm others though. And that's why I'm glad Lee Seunghyun is gone.

BigBang is better without him. I hope they continue to make music. I'll listen.

i still listen to them on my throwback playlist .  coz i'm one of these people that only listen to song that fit my mood and the lyric fit my current situation too and sing them to relieve some stress . i don't really have time to  care about other people scandal that i probably will never. when my own life is already fucked up as it is.

My adoration for BB is unwavering (at least till now).

Whether OT5 or OT4, I will support them. As long as BB is still there, I will continue listening their music.

Wouldn't call myself an ex-VIP or VIP by any means but Big Bang was my introduction to kpop so for that alone, I think they do have this special place in my heart even though I've stopped actively following them loooong before the whole Burning Sun thing even went down. I still occasionally listen to their old songs for the nostalgic factor. Just because I dislike Seungri and the group's reputation has tanked majorly doesn't mean all the songs I once loved suddenly become shit songs. If they released a new song, yeah I'd probably check it out out of curiosity. JJY (who I biased during a difficult time in my life) is a different story though lol. The severity of what he did just makes it uncomfortable, and feels very wrong to listen to his songs (admittedly, I very rarely may listen to one). The fact that he's a soloist and the face+vocalist of his band doesn't help. I still think his and Drug Restaurant's discography are impeccable but I'm not going to listen to it if I can help it because it doesn't bring the same feelings(?). I think the nostalgia that I associate with Big Bang and not JJY/DR is a huge reason haha. Sucks that JJY is such a trash person because I really love his songs. Gotta draw the line somewhere though.
