Do you think 5 year old gg April can get their first hit? What helped them rise?

Idk that much about them but I think they already gained some attention with oh my mistake back in 2018 (both in Korea and internationally) plus Naeun's popularity as an actress has also helped to put the groups' name out there. I definitely think this could be their breakout hit, because it's a pretty good song and they haven't even started to promote yet.

It's nice to see how nowadays many groups can rise to popularity even 4-5 years after debut. Just a few years ago everyone said that if a group didn't have a hit or at least a breakout song in their first 2-3 years they were over.

Good point, I didn't know her dramas were popular.

TBH I don't think any group got their first hit in their (almost) 5th year?? I think EXID and Girl's day took latest to hit big and they were like 3 years old at the time. Apink might be getting a hit rn after years but their 1st hit was in 2013 when they were like 2 years old.

Idk if it counts but NU'EST debuted in 2012 and became popular exactly 5 years after debut, in 2017. Their song Hello (released in 2013 or so) became a breakout hit when they started to get attention in produce. There's also BTOB whose biggest hit is Missing you (released in 2017) and they debuted in 2012. Before Missing you they only had songs that charted decently, not hits.
