Why would they choose only 7? China is big and can afford plenty group like AKB48. More members, more fans.

Well, there is this crazy rumor that the other four will be Rocket Girls members like some will graduate and some will join the new group. This sounds ridiculous to me tbh but you know it's Tencent/Wajijiwa you can't trust them lol!

I been hearing the rumor that some members of Rocket Girls will redebut as a subunit after the disbandment for months now. So I hope that somebody just mixed both rumors or something. I'm ok with they in a new group but with the 2020 girls it makes no sense...

But about the confirmed news yes, 7 are too few. Not because of the group, 7 members is a perfectly fine number for a gg but because of the competition is going to be wild.

For the size of China, 7 members isn't enough. I really think China should embraze an AKB48 chinese version and promote it well among the public. You have 1 billion people that can support at least 100 group with 40 members easily.

I think they already have something similar, its called SNH48! I think they used to be AKB48's sister group, but they're independent now.

I mean...those are (or were supposed to be) chinese unit of AKB48. 

I really think about a huge group not related to Japan or Korea.
