How to get over not being physically attractive?

maybe if you focus on hygiene, smelling nice and expressing your style through fashion? I feel like most attractive people are those who are clean and have a distinctive style they're comfortable with. this is what I strive for at least.

but I actually had a period when I thought I was one of the ugliest people in the world. now I find that idea ridiculous but I was able to get out of that mindset by realizing that beauty standards are awful and that my ideals don''t even fit together with them. it was a bit of a slow process but low self-esteem will not necessarily follow you forever
