BTS first win ever....

spacer.png

From that day forward, BTS pretty much became a punching bag for Big 3 and popular mid-teir senior kfandoms (and some i-sheep that followed) Who would of thought a nugu company group would be considered such a threat. I still don't get it tbh...all that organized hate...

Now things are a lot better except some young fandoms getting mad at BTS winning everything. But they're not as bad as all the mess the seniors put BTS through...then again Bighit, BTS and Armys are a lot tougher now, so...

BTS was not the only group from a small company that had it hard at the beginning. Block B has gone through much more than BTS during their rookie years.

Members from Big3 groups also get a lot of hates and malicious comments just because they debuted in a big company. IKON, GOT7 and EXO who debuted around the same time as BTS also suffered a lot with hate comments.

Also, Big Hit was not that small as army like to say, Big Hit had 2AM + Jo Kwon solo under their roof, and back in the days 2AM was a mid-tier group and Jo Kwon a super popular variety star.

Since some were already mentioned, I'd like to add this one:

ELFs buying SM stocks to have control over Super Junior.

They didn't want Zhomi and Henry to be part of Super Junior, so they stayed as Super Junior-M members.

So why don't you post about the struggles those groups had to face back then? Just stick to the topic in this thread instead

I've already contributed to this topic. And you should say to Satoori this, not to me. I just replied the post this person made saying BTS became a a punching bag after getting their 1st win on music show, and also said Big Hit was a nugu company. I felt like claiming that Big Hit was a nugu company as not true.

I could write a long list talking about groups that really struggled, starting from groups from 1st generation, but I'd be out of topic if I did.

My post is about BTS situation. I never said they were the only ones in history. It's still crazy how much hate BTS got long-term.

Bighit as a company was basically nugu. Many Koreans and ifans did not know it by name. No brand power. Many people still considered 2am as JYPE artist even when they were under technically Bighit. I'm not getting ready to have this debate with you again tho Angel. We had a similar one last year. You can reference back to it.

This is the story that they told BTS fans to make them believe BTS really came from a nugu company. From the botttom to the top.  BTS had to work hard for their success cause Big Hit invested on them a lot of money, not cause the company was "nugu".

K.WILL debuted under Big Hit label and while there K.WILL reached #3 on Melon with his debut song, released the hit song "Moon Setting Alone", released a song with MC Mong that reached #1 on Melon, gave Lee Min-Ho vocal classes.

8EIGHT was another group under Big Hit that even won a MAMA award for Best Mixed Gender Group.

2AM released most of their successful songs under Big Hit.

BigHit's problem in the past was keeping their artists under their roof, since most of them left the company after few years. A company which had so many popular group/artists under their label was not a nugu company.
