Name only 5 things you don't like about Kpop that most people do

Charting, streaming, and music shows and the exploitative system they created. I hate how everything is a competition because the industry fostered that through the music show win system. No one should be made to feel awful because they couldn't get a goddamn trophy.

Yea, in the beginning it was cute.

I didn't even know what you're talking about was a thing, mess... the reason I don't like them is because they've become so popular now more antis and random strangers are following it more.

Shipping wars lmao fans be fighting over couples that aren't even real. Like i'd understand more if they were fighting over fictional relationships from tv shows or whatever but real people??

Is shipping wars something people like? More like people don't like each other ships so they fight.

However if you're saying you don't like the general "shipping culture", then ok ^^

charting and streaming are natural elements part of the music industry. there's has to be a way to collect data and measure success

music shows gives idols a way to promote their music

but "music show wins" now that's more of specific answer^^ i agree the wins do cause a lot of problems in the industry and community.

I've seen some people arguing over "stolen concept" and stuff like that, became too serious

Antis and randoms? Like for ex en armyselcadays there are antis and locals that do it with bts members? lmao

Antis dragging fans. Petty fanwars type stuff

Randoms (predators) lurking the tags and targeting naive and young fans

Shipping culture too. I think its okay to ship two people for fun but some take it too seriously.

Agree, there are many people who take it to far. For example: When you start hating other members with in a the same group, then there's a real problem...it's time to stop

the whole "my oppa is better than your oppa because he has more yt views"

when it became more about the ranking and fanwars than about the actual music and idols involved in it

and something about personal taste:

the current music trend

boy groups wearing too much make-up.. (i'm not talking about the people who like it i'm talking about make-up as a concept)

music videos where they polish their faces so much the don't actually have natural features anymore

Streaming... I mean, if you want to watch the same video over and over again that's fine. But when people use their groups view count as a way to brag about their success, it can be annoying. It's not the only way to measure an artists success.

Fans fighting over visuals... Like this is kpop. Majority of idols are attractive. Besides, people have their own personal taste.

Being overly competitive about achievements.

  • Voting wars (especially for awards show. Awards getting less and less valuable)
  • Bulk shipping (that actually more expensive than getting by yourself)
  • Role-playing (I never like obsessive impersonation)
  • Self-demoted elitist (they know they have influence in fandom and the saga starts afterwards...)
  • Neverending bashing (be it fans nor haters).

-The amount of end of the year award shows nowadays. (I wish there were less)

-Choreography that make idols get on their knees or on the floor to much. (Often time looks random af. Also bad for the knees long-term)

-To much English in songs. (I prefer to hear more Korean. It would force the producers/writers to be more creative and poetic with their lyrics too)

- Macho concepts or "beast-dols" (basically exaggerating manliness). Extreme focus on muscles, fake bronze tans, heavy eye shadow makeup, misogyny lyrics, manhandling everything, etc....are some things of the past that should stay there.

-Super groups (I prefer 7 or less. Max 9)
